Re: 2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

Feeling good were we stand right now. I'll call 294 for the O (usual suspects plus NV, IA, WI, OH, and VA). Mittens wins 215 (regular righty states plus CO & NC). I have no idea how Florida is going to go.

Popular vote Obama 50.5, Mittens 48.5, Stoner Johnson and the Libs 1%

Re: 2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

I just saw a passing headline that Nj residents can email their vote.
I heard them mention this on NPR this morning. And also that you can fax in your vote in New Jersey. Not sure how either of those methods would work and hadn't heard of either before.

And how do you expect people without power to e-mail or fax?

Re: 2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

Romney just needs Colorado and Ohio to flip and he's got it. Colorado I'd put in the leans Romney and Ohio will be this years Florida just squeaking for the Republicans.

Except Ohio is trending towards Obama. Colorado becomes inconsequential.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

I would figure Virginia to be more likely to go Obama's way than Colorado. Romney did very well in the early vote (or so it seems) here in Colorado, and pretty much every poll I've seen lately has Obama slightly ahead in Virginia.

Except that Colorado has seen significant population growth in Obama's main counties in Colorado while the Republican counties have been relatively stagnant or have experienced a decrease in population. Only El Paso saw an increase in population (among significant Republican counties).

Virginia is actually trending Romney and it crossed the even line about three weeks ago. So I put this one in Romney's basket.

* Disclaimer: I've only had about 10 minutes to look at the CO maps so be forewarned.

When they get 10,000 votes from a Kinko's I'm sure they'll act accordingly. When they get 1,000,000 votes from a fax server, I'm not sure what they will do.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

People seem awful light on the predictions this year vs the last election! What gives? Look, I don't think there's going to be any "November surprises" out there between today and tomorrow so lets see what people think. No points off if we get it wrong.

...and you think people who can't get to a polling place can get to a Kinko's?

That's because your butt-kissing stopped once that orifice blew it in Denver.

I predict it will be Clinton's fault.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

I can confidently predict that a vain, self serving ******* will be president for the next 4 years.

And they will misinterpret the disdain for the other party as a mandate.

Probably.

However, given the economic numbers and Laura Ingraham's proclamation if Romney doesn't win this election that's a mandate of sorts for a balanced approach to the deficit. It's pretty clear that there is only one party that can only get elected by signing Grover's pledge.
