2012 Frozen Four: Union vs. Ferris State; Minnesota vs. Boston College

Most teams trap at times depending on the opponent too. The Gophers use a trap from time-to-time. Just not as much as BC does. And why not, they have the personnel to do it effectively. Their transition game is devastating.

You speak quite assuredly for someone who watched one game .. Presumably with tears in your eyes

I've watched a handful of games. And yes, BC trapped in each one of them. Not sure why people are so upset about that fact. If you have the personnel to do it properly, it can be quite effective. Most teams use it at some point or another. It's when teams with no talent use it as a last ditch effort to slow a game down that it gets rather boring. And that's because those teams don't have the talent to have a transition game capable of capitalizing on turnovers.

It's not that people are upset about that, it's just that the thought is absolutely idiotic.

You ask anyone in HE the team that plays the most up and down, free wheeling style it's BC.

But I'll trust your observations.

Edit: Not sure why am I even responding to this

It's impossible to dispute the fact that they trap. Rewatch the game against UMD. They were trapping the entire second half of the game. I'm really beginning to question whether some of you actually know what the neutral zone trap is. Just because you trap, that doesn't mean you can't push the pace and stretch the ice offensively.

You sound like the bu fanboy who accused BC's penalty kill of trapping too.

Im not sure what your angle even is other than to appear stupid. Every team has the personel to trap. Its the great equalizer for bad teams. The only problem with the trap is when an untalented team does it the whole game. I'm not going to get into a slap fight over what percentage of time BC spends trapping

I think you will see pretty early and often that BC is a relentless forechecking team. But my hope is that Lucia is as clueless as you

This seems like a "lighten up, Francis" moment.

According to York, BC & Minnesota have agreed to a 4 game series

Re: 2012 Frozen Four: Union vs. Ferris State; Minnesota vs. Boston College

I have come to the conclusion some people around here don't know what the trap looks like.

So because BC trapped against UMD that makes mnsoh stupid and clueless... got it.

Sounds like BC and the Gophs will be getting to know each other. I hope Minnesota doesn't trap BC in all these games. The Gophers do it all the time and their games are so boring! Yuck.
