Re: 2012 Elections Part I: All Politics is Yokel

back to reality. neither party is racist. that's bull in this day and age.

if you want to look historically, the Democrats are the party of slavery, Jim Crow, Dixiecrats, welfare plantations, etc.

but now days there isn't a candidate, congressman, party member who doesn't believe in equal opportunity.

Really? My daughter doesn't have the same opportunity to go to Texas or Texas A&M then an illegal immigrant does. Is that equal?

Mitt Romney is middle class?

Uh huh.

You're still on this? I don't even think Old Poe can fondly remember the good ol days of that.

but now days there isn't a candidate, congressman, party member who doesn't believe in equal opportunity.
Lol, most immediate example is Ron Paul who wants to repeal civil rights legislation because it infringes on the individual liberty of the right to discriminate.

Ummm, husky....Herm Cain wants to exclude millions of people from govt purely on the basis of their religion. In fact, he's your preferred candidate from your previous posts. How do you sync his comment up with your quote above? Equal opportunity except for religions you don't like?

Mitt Romney is middle class?

Yeah, I couldn't figure that one out either. But, Mitt shouldn't be getting any traction from the GOP. Unless of course their co-opting of the Tea Party movement was just a smokescreen and a way to get a bunch of people elected for their real agenda.

No way!

He hates muslims...they dont count!

Re: 2012 Elections Part I: All Politics is Yokel

Old Pio's trying a classic knuckledragger tactic, which is to launch a baseless counter accusation to a true statement about yourself. So, despite the fact that most people have left behind the word use to name Perry's ranch two generations ago, clearly the best defense is a good offense. Or maybe Old Pio still uses that term himself and therefore doesn't see a problem? Anyway, either Perry is stupid for not seeing the problem with attending such a place, or he finds it amusing which is even worse. Either way, a poor choice to be running the country. What he needs to do is mimic Herm Cain, who discriminates against the scapegoat du jour of conservatism nowadays - muslims. Here you have a man who truly represents where the GOP is, despite how un-American and discriminatory his proposed policies would be (love the one about no Muslims in govt purely based on their religion, a clear violation of the Constitution. One wonders what other items in that document he feels he knows more than the Founding Fathers about).

Let's see, Rover disputes my observaton that libtards use accusations of racism like Kleenex by making snarky allegations about MY alleged racism, including, of course, my use of the N-word. In places where libtards hang out caressing each other that that may serve as a rebuttal to my argument, but nowhere else.

Does the young lady live in Texas? Can she find Texas on a map? You figure she should in-state tuition because illegals living in Texas do? That's only slightly moronic. Move to texas and she'd pay in-state tuition.

I agree. It would be almost impossible for a candidate for president, congress or governor to harbor true racial animus yet somehow be able to keep it secret. Opposition research would surely uncover something incriminating in the primary or general. Besides, we spend lots of time ruminating about phony accusations of racism (like what was written on a rock 30 years ago) that real, serious evidence of racism would instantly become front page news. And more than just WAPO's sleazy "reporting."

Notice our colleagues who simply cannot wrap their minds around the concept that their political opponants aren't standing around, waiting for the trains to arrive to take minorities to the camps. The idea that conservatives are racists is part of their DNA. And they aren't the slightest bit constrained about letting us know it. Which leaves them denying libtards are prone to imputing racism in others, by imputing racism in others.

So, a person who isn't even a resident of the United States (illegals are not residents) gets in-state but my daughter does not? And that's fair?

BS

And Cain's hatred of muslim's is BS as well.

And David Brooks made the case for Romney today in the paper. I puked.

You figure she's entitled to in-state tuition in all 49 other states (or is it 56)? Again, moronic. You're trying to make some galactic point here about illegals, but only showing how silly you are. Personally I'm not comfortable with allowing the kids of illegals to pay in-state tuition. But Perry's right, it's a matter for Texas to decide. And they have, overwhelmingly. The fact that you don't like it has nothing to do with your undoubtedly charming daughter and what she would pay.

Brooks is weird. He was a Neocon cheerleader who repented (and got raped for it by NRO) and he's still a blind Likudnik, he lurves Milton Friedman, BUT he detested Palin, says Goldwater and Reagan small government conservatism was a scam, and alternately blows hot and cold on Obama. He's... well, there's really no way to classify him other than weird. Or he just calculates what's going to generate the most buzz and writes it. Or he gets up every morning, spins the Wheel of Ideology, and just goes with it, and he's been trolling all of Washington for twenty years (which would be funny).

The left hates him because he's The Guy who said the Iraqis would fall in love with our tanks, while the right hates him because he can think and speak in complete sentences and doesn't try to hide it behind some "I'm jes tellin' it like it is, War Eagle!" facade.

You just can't follow a simple line of logic can you?

Illegals aren't IN-STATE people either. Period. End of discussion. That's the point and it's IRREFUTABLE. Done. Over.
