2012 Elections Part I: All Politics is Yokel

Re: 2012 Elections Part I: All Politics is Yokel

Again, cute but incorrect. Let me make a slight correction, there isn't a liberal anywhere in America who can go three sentences without accusing his opponants of racism. And it starts in the WH with Deadmeat. You'll remember: "the police acted stupidly." Are you suggesting libtards AREN'T retarded? I'm gonna require proof.

Just to clarify further, I'm referring here to professional libtards. Politicians, members of the commentariat, "neutral journalists" who served as press secretaries for Democratic presidents, etc. Private citizens are not included in this, because I have no idea what private citizens think unless and until they speak up.

That's nonsense. Some liberals can't go three sentences without accusing conservatives of racism. Definitely not most. And some conservatives can't go half a sentence without referring to ALL liberals as retarded. Again, definitely not most.
I wonder if Sarah Palin would approve of calling people retarded...

Wrong. Most liberals don't accuse their opponents of racism. Thanks for the hyperbole, though.

Probably not but you libtards have already established you don't give a sh*t, why should I? Among other things, you've accused her of "responsibility" for a mass murder. So let's not suddenly claim "limitations" beyond which we cannot go in commenting on these matters. It's a little late for that, don't you think?

Facts are inconvenient things.
I won't let the actual facts get in the way of your anecdotal evidence. Carry on. I do find it amusing that you expect one anecdote about one politician to pass as proof of the behavior of every politician. And for the records, your use of the phrase "you libtards..." when addressing a poster proves that your comment about private citizens was bs.

Name me one top libtard (candidate, public servant, member of the commentariat) who hasn't at one time or another, imputed racism to a specific conservative or conservatives in general.

Priceless doesn't need your help. He's reveals himself everytime he opens his mouth. The truth hurts, but there you are. And given the fact that he posts here quite a bit (more than twice as often as me), he's not really a private citizen in the context I was referring to. Again, cute, but innacurate.

Just curious, how many "annecdotes" would it take to convince you that libtards accuse conservatives of racism frequently? 100? 1000? Give me a number I can shoot for.

What an obvious logical fallacy. I obviously can't prove how anyone thinks or feels. After your statement that EVERY liberal candidate has accused opponents of racism, the onus is on you, not me, for evidence. I won't make you prove that every liberal politician has done it, I'll settle for these 15:

Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Dennis Kucinich, Diana Degette, Jesse Jackson Jr, Dan Lipinski, Henry Waxman, Maxine Waters, Harry Reid, Daniel Inouye, Gabrielle Giffords, Ken salazar, and I don't know, let's go with Richard Daley, for some old home. (The younger, not the elder)

If you can prove that that tiny sampling of democratic politicians ALL fit your silly argument, I will stop thinking the argument is utterly without merit. And I threw you some home run balls in that crew.

Alll of the libtard worthies you named have done it. Some of 'em this week. Yeah, Maxine is definitely a T-ball pitch. They all do it, or have done it, or will do it. They're Democrats, it's what they do. And I'm betting that even if I spent six months to a year to do the research, you'd claim there was some guy running for sheriff in Vermillion county who's not done it. If you're even marginally honest, you will admit that accusations of racism are a part of the libtard catechism (just like the post that started this exchange). If you'll concede that, I'll concede that not all libtards do it. I've posted before that accusations of being a racist are the 21st Century equivalent of McCarthy's charges of being "red." They are argument stoppers, designed to force the target to stop talking about what's on his mind and begin defending himself from these spurious charges.

I look forward to the day when a prominent Democrat tells either one of the "reverands" to shut his mouth about racism, so we can get on with the business of making this a better place to live. Never gonna happen, ever.

So your task of proving it will be easy. Good. :) Go ahead. (You understand of course that you saying it is not proof. Just like me saying it is not proof.)

So you're not willing to agree that some libtards accuse conservatives of being racists? For heaven's sake I'm accused of that nearly every day (along with being stupid and homophobic). I'm thinking of one poster in particular who would be rendered mute if he were unable to use those three words when talking about me.

I made you a good faith offer which would at least temporarily put an end to this exchange. But since you're evidently unwilling to make even that minor concession, then I'm back to saying all libtards throw around accusations of racisim. Happy now?

Are you questioning Old Poe's authority? He doesn't need to back up anything he says, that he says it makes it true.

Re: 2012 Elections Part I: All Politics is Yokel

I think why wouldn't we want to go back to the 18th century?
Dentistry.

Anyway, the 18th century was still solidly mercantilist (every Founder other than Hamilton* thought capitalism was Satanic). Then by the 19th century we had crony-state capitalism. Then by the 20th century we had welfare capitalism. The kind of free market capitalism Paul fantasizes about has actually never existed, which is why it has such a spotless record. :D

Just hint at Johnny one note, and who surfaces long enough to fire a shot?

Please show me where I said that no liberals accuse their opponents of racism. What's that? You can't because I never said that? Ok then.

Edit: For the record, I assume that you are currently working on putting together the proof that all fifteen of those politicians accuse their opponents of racism.

Edit-er: Happy? meh... Blithe might be the right word. :)

No, I don't do homework anymore. The point is not whether "some" liberals accuse their opponants of racism it is that these accusations are the default position for all sorts of liberals. All the time. Even those two obscure congressmen you put on your little list.

Why don't we move this along and argue about something else? Because it's getting boring and because neither one of us is going to give an inch here. You believe libtards are above such coarse discourse, I don't.

First of all, there were no obscure congressmen on that list. I'm wondering which two you are referring to. Seriously, if I know who they are, they can't be too obscure because frankly I don't follow it that closely.

Second, I don't believe liberals are above coarse discourse. I have never said anything even remotely like this. To say that would be absurd.

I do believe that someone who seems to be incapable of not being disrespectful to all liberals everywhere every single time he references liberalism has, in my view, no business accusing anyone else of being disrespectful. In other words, I love your blanket statement about the horror of other people making blanket statements.

Now, I agree with you that we have been at this long enough. If you would like, feel free to take the last word. I know you hate not having it as much as I do. :)

Edit: For the record, I really am curious as to who you thought was obscure. I was trying specifically not to put any obscure peopel on the list to make a point.

re-edit: I guess Degette is pretty obscure if you haven't been living in CO now that I think about it, and I was thinking of William Lipinski, so I pay so little attention, I didn't even realize that Dan is the son of the dude I was thinking of. I am thinking those must be the two you meant.

Old Pio's trying a classic knuckledragger tactic, which is to launch a baseless counter accusation to a true statement about yourself. So, despite the fact that most people have left behind the word use to name Perry's ranch two generations ago, clearly the best defense is a good offense. Or maybe Old Pio still uses that term himself and therefore doesn't see a problem? Anyway, either Perry is stupid for not seeing the problem with attending such a place, or he finds it amusing which is even worse. Either way, a poor choice to be running the country. What he needs to do is mimic Herm Cain, who discriminates against the scapegoat du jour of conservatism nowadays - muslims. Here you have a man who truly represents where the GOP is, despite how un-American and discriminatory his proposed policies would be (love the one about no Muslims in govt purely based on their religion, a clear violation of the Constitution. One wonders what other items in that document he feels he knows more than the Founding Fathers about).
