2012 East Regional: Union, Miami, Lowell, Michigan State

Re: 2012 East Regional: Union, Miami, Lowell, Michigan State

Great game. I hope the bad ice doesn't cause a bounce that costs either team the game :D

Re: 2012 East Regional: Union, Miami, Lowell, Michigan State

Are the college venues not big enough to hold a regional out east? There has to be a better ice sheet in the area. Its a tough to watch all the bouncing pucks and guys losing edges constantly. Its almost is a safety concern. There has been multiple guys blow tires and spill into the boards. Even on that last Miami goal, puck flipped up on the UML defenseman which probably caused it to be blocked, then never stopped rolling on the break away.

Portland, Maine.......Bangor, Maine........both will have new (Bangor) or renovated (Portland) arenas. But everyone keeps telling me that Maine can't handle hosting these big events. I guess that these crowds are just too large for those cities to handle.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Campus regionals are another problem. I'm not interested in going there.

The only exception I'd consider is Lowell, which is an AHL arena in addition to being UML's home rink.

Other than that, there have to be a number of AHL rinks with at least decent ice. Bridgeport might just be a lousy site.

Glad that didn't end on the major. It was a penalty but not a major. WCHA officials are bad.

Re: 2012 East Regional: Union, Miami, Lowell, Michigan State

Talk about character. Blowing a 3-0 lead in 7 minutes, getting a 5 minute major after that, killing it at the end of the 3rd to get to OT, killing the last bit of it in OT and winning it.

Love it. UML certainly represented Hockey East well no matter what they do from here on out.

The Failboat has left port and will return in October. :p

Congrats to Lowell, but that's not really character, that's just a case of miraculously not ****ting your pants. Miami had a couple open looks and could have won. But close don't count in hockey!

Beat Union tomorrow Riverhawks, represent HE!

Can someone go to the studio and get Anson Carter a rulebook?
