2012-2013 schedules

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

The following teams have unknown (in terms of whom) non-conference games remaining:

Quinnipiac - 1 (2vtOSU, 1vProv, 1vUMA)
Maine - 1

Probably a safe guess that Harvard would play Maine, not sure about the other one, though.

I heard somewhere, can't remember where, that Maine was opening up with Qunnipiac.

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

<s>There is a discrepancy between this and the UNH schedule regarding the location and date of the 3rd PC-UNH game. The Wildcats say that it is in Durham on Feb 15th. The Friars say that it is in Providence on Feb 8th.</s> Just kidding, it had changed on the UNH website and just hadn't been updated on the spreadsheet.

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

I got confirmation that WMU is at ND 11/2 and 11/4 (Fri-Sun due to football) and LSSU is at ND 11/30-12/1. Was informed that the rest of the schedule is still being tweaked, but really we all know what it is and the only tweaking is:

The first Michigan weekend (which we can virtually ink in as the weekend of 11/16) will likely also be Fri-Sun due to football. The second Michigan series (which can also be virtually inked in) will be 2/8-9.

Very good news. That would effectively complete a few CCHA schedules (obviously for your Michigan and tOSU games we'll await confirmation from the source before sticking it up on our schedule, though we pretty much already know).

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

Priceless has Harvard playing Maine in Portland on either 11/24 or 12/15 so maybe the information shared with me was wrong.
That isn't official. The game in Portland could be the U-18 team. However, Maine has a history of playing ECAC teams in Portland either at Thanksgiving or (more likely) mid-December. I've heard nothing about the U-18 team.

No way the school moves a conference game away from Orono so that's out.

Lately they've been alternating between ECAC team and USA U-18. And yea, sure, absolutely no way the school moves a conference game. http://collegehockeystats.net/0405/boxes/mmneprv1.n21

Junior national team is still a possibility. Granted, are we still playing them in an exhibition? We didn't last year, and they lost to a team "not on the rise" that "backed into the tournament" two years ago.

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

Michigan must play LSSU on the weekend of January 19th, as that's the only remaining open weekend in common. There are two open weekends for Michigan / Ohio State (January 5th and February 23rd), the 23rd seems the most likely as there's no good reason for both teams to have a bye at that time.

LSSU has two weekends with Ohio State, and the only two in common are November 24th and January 26th. This leaves the weekend of November 17th to play Alabama Huntsville.

Ohio State and Quinnipiac can only play on either the weekend of October 20th or November 3rd. October 20th is the more likely of the two.

Notre Dame now MUST play Michigan on the weekends of November 17th and February 9th (assuming they are both weekend series and one or both don't get split). They must play Ohio State on February 2nd weekend.

We're pretty close to having the CCHA completely figured out.

Obviously I have no idea what I'm talking about. I have no experience with scheduling at the University of Maine. I won't bother you anymore. From now on, you should only pay attention to FlagDUDE08 because he knows everything. Sorry to interrupt. Again. I won't make that mistake again.

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

Tentative schedule for Northeastern (and we now know those two mystery NC games):

http://huskyhockey.wordpress.com/20122013-schedule/

Looks like a potential misunderstanding (but no conflict as the games can still be scheduled as such): This has Harvard on 12/29 (which is when Bentley is supposed to play NE) and then the Bentley game on January 5th. However, the official Atlantic schedule has moved the game, so I will as well (mar7967, you may want to edit yours as well).

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

Speculation time, now that we have 5 HE schedules in. Be aware that none of these have been confirmed, so they are not in the master schedule:

BC would play at UVM on March 8th/9th (the last week of the HE regular season). These are the only teams not confirmed as playing then, and I say at UVM because last year they played at BC.
UVM would play at BU on March 1st/2nd. These are the only teams not confirmed as playing then, and I say at BU because last year they played at UVM.
Maine would play at UMA on February 22nd/23rd. These are the only teams not confirmed as playing then, and I say at UMA because last year they played at Maine.
I would suspect Maine and BU would have at least one game around February 15th/16th. No easy speculation can be made based upon last year's schedule because there is an extra week after the Beanpot this year, but they played at Maine last year in the week before the Beanpot.
I would suspect UVM would play at Maine on February 8th/9th. These are the only teams not confirmed as playing then, and I say at Maine because last year they played at UVM.
I would suspect BU and UMA would have their "3rd game" around February 1st or 2nd, as they were one of the two single teams BU faced around that time prior to the Beanpot. Merrimack was the other, and they do still have the other weekend.

I believe that there was a rumour that Quinnipiac and Maine may have a NC game. It is still possible, given number of NC games remaining. Possible dates are November 2nd (unlikely, Maine would probably try to get in a HE "3rd game"), around Thanksgiving (11/23 or 11/24), 12/7-12/8, 12/14-12/15, or 1/25-1/26 (very unlikely as I'd suspect a league game then, there are 4 HE teams without games that haven't released tentative schedules).

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

Why couldn't they play Oct 5-6 weekend?

Only Alaska teams are allowed to play (or even practice) October 5th. I would venture a guess that a Canadian exhibition would be scheduled for the 6th, but that's not set in stone, as Union is not playing an exhibition on that day, but rather a regular NC game.

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

As for the BC/UVM to end the season, that is correct. I think Bertanga said sometime last season that the year end operates on a 2 year rotation so it makes sense.

I believe Princeton and Quinnipiac are playing their home and home series on Dec. 7-8. Game at Quinnpiac on the 7th and at Princeton on the 8th. Tried adding it to the spreadsheet but have view only status.

I had to shut off edit abilities due to the antics of someone enlarging their school's schedule and either shrinking or completely deleting a rival's schedule. Either burgie12 or I will get that in there (he'll probably beat me to the punch, as I can't access the document from my present location).

Are there any other NC games remaining for Princeton, or do we have their full schedule complete upon the addition of this information?

All the dates are in there, aside from potential exhibition/scrimmage games. According to Dartmouth site... the matchups for Ivy Shootout are Princeton-Dartmouth and Yale-Brown with championship/consolation the following day, not showcase format like last year.
