It's not clear to me what happens if a school doesn't have 25 games against D-I opposition. It seems that the only purpose of bylaw 20.9.4 is to establish minimum numbers of sports sponsored by a school.

However, the NCAA hockey tournament manual has the following sentence: "Division I institutions that wish to participate in the Division I championship must schedule a minimum of 20 games against Division I opponents."

Page 10, under "Championship Selection."

I think that means that UAH is eligible for the tournament, and games against them count in the RPI. Failing to meet the 25-game minimum, though, means that they can't count hockey as one of their sports for official sponsorship purposes (although they can get a waiver of this).

That's the same conclusion that I came to in Post 355, although I was referring to Penn State.
