2012-2013 schedules

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

Colgate's (tentative) non-con schedule is already full. I know Niagara has a free game left, but I'm not sure where Colgate fits in.

If I had to make a guess, either RIT or the Q-Pac NC game in Cape Cod.

I would say Niagara's right, simply due to the fact that the Colgate information was tentative.

I'd say you're right, but the Cape Cod game was announced at the Qpac banquet, that makes me think it's fairly "official." And, the AHA Composite schedule shows the Nov 16/17 switch that Niagara applied to its schedule, but doesn't show the Raiders on the Purps' schedule, making me think it's less official than it appears to be.

The RIT game is on RIT's schedule and the AHA schedule...so who knows.

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

A Monday night game at Harvard, occurring against a Pats Monday night home game ... also incredibly stupid.

The 2 Sunday games and 1 Monday game during NFL season are all road games for Lowell. The 1st Sunday game starts right around when the Pats/Rams game ends, and the 2nd Sunday game is a few hours after the Pats/Indy games ends.

The other Sunday game is Lowell at Maine at 7pm on Super Bowl Sunday. That's beyond incredibly stupid.

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

Colgate-Vermont game moved to unknown date area due to conflict with UML-UVM game.

The schedule also confirms that Bentley only plays one game against UML this season.

Maybe Colgate and UVM don't play, thereby making room for Niagara - Colgate?

Are Dartmouth - UVM scheduled for a game? I know they're traditionally played.

They are not currently scheduled for a game. Vermont has one unclaimed non-con game (currently believed to be Colgate). Dartmouth has one unclaimed non-con game (Ivy Shootout, home tournament, Bentley already scheduled, Boston College as a presumed game). Colgate has one unclaimed non-con game (currently believed to be UVM). Niagara has one unclaimed non-con game (currently believed to be Colgate).

Dartmouth-UVM games on even-odd seasons are usually played in Hanover. That would make 15 home games this season plus the exhibition against Norwich with 12 road games and the Ivy Shootout at Brown.

ETA: It's also worth noting that Niagara and Colgate played a home-and-home last season. Neither team should "owe" the other a home game this season.

I'm pretty sure Hockey East will make that an afternoon game when they catch wind of it. Can't see that staying as is.

With a Friday night game at Merrimack the game would have to be on Sunday but even a 4PM start would make for a late bus ride home with classes the next day so I'm sure that start time is incorrect Superbowl or not. My guess is that it will be a 2PM game so everyone would be out in time for the Superbowl. Hopefully UML has the football game on TV for the bus ride back to make the long ride go by fast. Maybe they should tell the players the game will be on if they win and not available if they lose. How's that for incentive.

Last year Northeastern's opening game was on Yom Kippur (for those who don't know, Yom Kippur is the most religious holiday on the Jewish calendar). HE did not change that game so don't expect them to change the game on SuperBowl Sunday.
