2012-2013 schedules

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

Thank you much, bronconick, and thanks for filling those in, burgie; I fixed any issues with the spreadsheet.

Speculation time:

Notre Dame now MUST play Michigan on the weekends of November 17th and February 9th (assuming they are both weekend series and one or both don't get split). They must play Ohio State on February 2nd weekend.

Notre Dame may play LSSU either December 1st or December 29th, but because of typical schedule arrangements, we'll likely see this on the weekend of December 1st. One thing that is fairly certain for Notre Dame is that one week will be with LSSU, and the other week will be a bye. With LSSU, they can still play UAH on the weekend of December 1st if they play Notre Dame on the weekend of December 29th.

Michigan can only play Ohio State on one of two weekends: January 5th or February 23rd. There are three remaining options available for both Miami and LSSU.

There are five possible dates for the Ohio State - Quinnipiac series, but I think the most likely would be either October 20th or January 26th, both while Q's travel partner cannot play (first is ivy rules, second is exams).

LSSU will most likely have a bye week February 9th weekend, as no other possible opponents can be scheduled.

Notre Dame will most likely have a bye week November 10th weekend, as no other possible opponents can be scheduled.

Aside from what I have posted, LSSU has 0-1 remaining bye weeks, Miami 2, Michigan 3, and Ohio State 2. As much as I love logic charts, I'm not sure I'll do this one.

Notre Dame is playing Boston College on November 9th.

Notre Dame is playing Boston College on November 9th.

I knew I overlooked the OOC game on my list... :o

Do you have a source on this? I'm not going to set it in stone because the "Holy War on Ice" was not the same weekend as the football "Holy War" in 2010. (October 2nd vs. October 23rd)

According to the website bostoncollegehockeyblog.blogspot.ca in a post dated May 22nd, 2012,

Boston College has already announced the OOC teams they will be playing this year. They are: Dartmouth, Yale, Notre Dame at Conte Forum. They (BC) will travel to St. Paul to participate in the Mariucci Classic in late December.

Notre Dame has only enough space in the schedule for November 9th weekend and the December 28th weekend. Since BC will be playing in the Mariucci Classic that pretty much rules out the latter weekend. Since Notre Dame will be playing at Boston College in football on November 10th, and they played the hockey game the night before the football game in South Bend in 2011, it strongly suggests November 9th. But the date is speculation.

Unfortunately it looks like Notre Dame won't have any holiday games scheduled this year.

...unless they decide to play LSSU then. The only reason I keep saying that is (aside from a lack of information from either school) it would open up a possible date for LSSU to play UAH. I don't have my logic charts accessible to me at this point, but I'll certainly look at what BC has scheduled already, and also compare it to what last year's HEA schedule was, given their scheduling pattern.

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

This means that Michigan must play LSSU on the weekend of January 19th, as that's the only remaining open weekend in common. There are two open weekends for Michigan / Ohio State (January 5th and February 23rd), the 23rd seems the most likely as there's no good reason for both teams to have a bye at that time.

LSSU has two weekends with Ohio State, and the only two in common are November 24th and January 26th. This leaves either the weekend of November 17th or December 1st to play Alabama Huntsville, likely November 17th because I doubt they'd put a conference weekend (with Notre Dame) over Christmas break.

Ohio State and Quinnipiac can only play on either the weekend of October 20th or November 3rd. October 20th is the more likely of the two.

Notre Dame assumptions remain the same.

There's still a little bit of guesswork, but I can only see maybe about 8 different possibilities for the rest of the CCHA schedules. Given we can make good guesses on the HEA games, all we're really waiting for is the ECAC travel partner games and some HEA-ECAC non-conference games.

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

Does Anyone know U of M's schedule?

Within the last two pages of this thread (or first two, depending on how you scroll), you should be able to find your answer. There's also this wonderful thing called Google if you want to look for the real thing (good luck).
