Re: 2011 College Football: Occupy GameDay!

Ferentz post game: "Well, it's nice to be leading whatever division we're in."

LOL @ Delany.

Re: 2011 College Football: Occupy GameDay!

Minnesota is giving MSU a game right now, so I wouldn't go solely off of last week's game. Iowa was up 24-9, so not sure how UM choked.

Anyway, Iowa got away with numerous PI non-calls all game long. Oh well. Not sure how they didn't roll Robinson out on any of the last plays.

What pass interference? They're dancing a waltz.

Re: 2011 College Football: Occupy GameDay!

They're never going to call a penalty on the last play of the game, especially for the road team, unless it's something really blatant, and even then it's questionable. The officials were half way to their van before that ball hit the ground.

As for the others, it's tough to draw PI calls when your arm punter can't put the ball within 10 yards of a receiver.

Northwestern up 20-10 (PAT pending, injury on field) @Nebraska with 12:16 left.

Edit: 21-10

nebraska know these timeouts don't carry over to the next game?

Re: 2011 College Football: Occupy GameDay!

if nebraska can get another 10 yds the qb might be able to reach the endzone on a hail mary.

Re: 2011 College Football: Occupy GameDay!

Assuming Northwestern doesn't give this game away, can the Gophers still go to the Rose Bowl?

Iowa is going to beat Michigan??? Iowa is horrible.

EDIT: Guess so. Michigan choked big time.
I'm not on the kool aid, and understand that Iowa isn't that great this year, but Iowa is far from horrible, particularly at home.

Great to see the Hawks rely on their Defense to win a football game for once. Didn't get a ton of pressure on Robinson, but the D Line seemed very focused just to hold ground and contain, which they did a good job of. Robinson is the worst passer in the B1G, and if you keep him in the pocket, you can beat him.

We finally saw Iowa football today, and it was great to see. Next week is going to be an absolutely HUGE game with MSU headed to Iowa City.

With Nebraska losing, the parity in the Legends particularly is awesome. The B1G had perfect timing with adding Nebraska and having divisons!

Re: 2011 College Football: Occupy GameDay!

the mediocrity in the big conference is particularly astounding. The b1g had perfect timing with adding a slightly above average nebraska and having divisions! The conference championship game between 10-2 or 9-3 teams will be completely irrelevant

Re: 2011 College Football: Occupy GameDay!

Saban signs 150 players every 4 years and didn't include a kicker, apparently.

Re: 2011 College Football: Occupy GameDay!

If this game comes down to the end I'm sure Les Miles will find a way to be stupid with the clock.

Re: 2011 College Football: Occupy GameDay!

I guess there is always hope that segregation comes back.

I thought there was a scenario where a bunch of teams finish 4-4 and the Gophers win the tiebreaker.

Re: 2011 College Football: Occupy GameDay!

I find it funny that the Game of the Century is 3-3 at the half with 3 missed FGs....
