Re: 2011-2012 North Dakota Offseason Thread
He was also injured for about the final 1/4 of the season as well (I don't think he played at all in March). I agree though, he never was able to fit in with the team/scheme. Also, Manitoba is the Bisons...unless they corrected their team name in the last few years.
Some interesting takes from the roster...
- 26 kids on the team, 3 goalies, 7 blueliners, 15 forwards, and 1 listed D/F
- Nobody is listed as "from" North Dakota, although I believe Gothberg was born in the state
- 6 kids from Minnesota, and the majority are from around the cities
- 13 kids from Canada, more than any North Dakota team in a long time
- 5 of those Canadians are from Alberta, more than any other province (1 from Saskatchewan, 2 from Ontario and BC, and 3 from Manitoba)
- 5 players come from non-traditional places, including 2 from California, 1 from Arizona, 1 from D.C. and 1 from Missouri
- 6 seniors, 5 juniors, 8 sophomores, 7 freshman - a pretty well rounded group there
Even with all the injuries last year Dickin just couldn't fit in. Wish him all the best with the Bison.
