Still love the thread title.
Illya asking for more than Ovie's contract is insane. If he thinks he worth that much, then I smell that he will be going to the KHL to play for some Russian mobsters.
yeah, gotta say I am sick of seeing NHL.com pretend to be buddy-buddy with kovalchuk by calling him kovy. The dude snipes well on PP situations, but isn't worth what he is asking which is why most teams are probably avoiding the dude. He's improved his +/- in the last few years, but for someone who can net 50 in a season, being negative still says a lot...
GLM, I know I'm late in commenting, but so was your article about Kovalchuk holding out for "more than Ovechkin" money. That's pretty much what he's doing. Every Thrashers fan knew that once Ovechkin got his deal, Kovy's would be just a bit higher.
You should be better at reading by-lines.
Kovalchuk's mother said that her son's deal is for 17 years. Loophole Lou!
The NHL can't approve that insanity, can they?
He'll be wearing red and white next year too!! Really a smart playmaker and overall heady guy, I'm curious whether he has the wheels for the NHL. We'll see soon enough, I hope so.Riley Nash is leaving Cornell and signing his three-year entry-level deal with the Carolina Hurricanes. It's very possible he'll be starting for the Hurricanes this year.
Wait until Rolston has a "debilitating injury" - Mogilny 2.0. The fun is just getting started here. The NHL can't approve that insanity, can they?
I'd like to petition for a name change for the thread title, adding "and Holmgren is a fool"
Seriously, what the hell.
The NHL can't approve that insanity, can they?
To fill in the blanks for those that don't know... TRADE!
