2010 Milwaukee Brewers - Pitching: Quantity, or Quality????

Re: 2010 Milwaukee Brewers - Pitching: Quantity, or Quality????

I like this tactic from the brewers. Score an a**load of runs before their pitching staff implodes. :D

Re: 2010 Milwaukee Brewers - Pitching: Quantity, or Quality????

Davis can't get out of the 5th and it is 10-5 Brewers and he can't earn a win after being spotted a 10-run lead.

Re: 2010 Milwaukee Brewers - Pitching: Quantity, or Quality????

Davis was cruising along thru 4. What the hell happened? This crap is getting ridiculous with veteran pitchers stinking up the joint.

Re: 2010 Milwaukee Brewers - Pitching: Quantity, or Quality????

Is it true the pitching staff still managed to give up 5 runs yesterday?

Does that make yesterday 2 in a row?

Great job by Bushie and some nice offense. The Pirates are one of the few NL teams with a worse ERA than us. Keep up the bashing.

Cubs 91 Million Dollar Setup Man and getting down off the ledge

Cubs 91 Million Dollar Setup Man and getting down off the ledge

Hello Brewer Fans!!!!

Your old pal Rory is back. I was living the sweet life in the beautiful San Fernando Valley.... What can I say.... I'm a Valley Kind of Guy....

So late breakin g news is that the Scrubbies are going to turn "Big Z" into a 91 million dollar set-up guy.... Good to see that management is taking a kinder gentler approach that sees them have a little faith in their pitchers....

Pinella came out today and said that they were moving Zambran to the pen until Jim Hendry makes a move to fix the bullpen.

Better call the CPD and alert them to an increased number of jumpers.

Speaking of which....

Lets not pull the plug on our own staff quite yet.... Its not even the end of April..... Come talk to me in June....

Alright.... I am off to get a glass of ice tea to wet my whistle....

Re: 2010 Milwaukee Brewers - Pitching: Quantity, or Quality????

A shutout by the pitching staff tonight (and 3 HRs by the offense). Slight concern in that Gallardo had 90+ pitches in the 5th.

Re: 2010 Milwaukee Brewers - Pitching: Quantity, or Quality????

7-0 Brewers in the 4th. Prince with his 1st HR of the year. I guess the Pirates were just what the doctor ordered for this team.

10-0 now... They normally are...in 2008 when the Brewers made the playoffs, the biggest reason after Sabathia was the fact that the brewers were 14-1 versus the pirates...also of note, Prince hit is first home run in 2008 on his 54th at bat...today's home run was...his 54th at bat of the season!

4 straight games where the Brewers have had at least an 8 run lead

If I was a small boy, I think my question would be "Daddy, can we play the Pirates every night?"

The lead might be safe enough to get Hawkins some work again.

16-0 after Edmond's HR...can't figure out why Milwaukee went for 2 twice ;)

Everyone who has an at-bat for Milwaukee (11 batters so far) has at least one hit, including Wolf who has 2.

Edit: Wolf's pinch hitter Joe Inglett gets 2 at-bats as the Crew bats around in the 7th.

Inglett got 2 at-bats in one inning as a pinch hitter...how often does that happen? ;)

18-0 now with 2 outs in the 9th
Vargas and Gerut don't have hits in their only at-bats...
23 hits, 10 extra base hits (4 HRs, 1 3Bs, 5 2Bs)

FINAL SCORE: 20-0

Good lord. THAT was fun to witness.
Interesting stat of the day: Brewers are now 5-0 on getaway day...hopefully the Brewers can take some of the success against Pit and keep it going against other teams. Maybe the pitching staff has finally settled down.

Re: 2010 Milwaukee Brewers - Pitching: Quantity, or Quality????

I DVRed it, but watched the ninth... pretty funny that the Pirates fans seemed to want the Brewers to hit 20. They were cheering pretty loud. :) How often do you get to see ANYONE score 20 runs?

p.s. do we get to keep Fielder now that he has a home run? :p ;)

Suppan vs. Dempster tonight
