Re: 2010 DII Football
Games for this weekend..... All times EST.
Thursday Sept 9th 8:00 pm
Ouachita Baptist @
Nebraska-Omaha
- I would expect the Red Mavs to beat the Purple Landcows, errr... Purple Tigers here.
Friday Sept 10th 7:00 pm
Pace @
Stonehill
- NE-10 battle here. Winner gets a leg up on staying out of the NE-10 cellar.
Saturday Sept 11th
Noon
Bentley @
Central Connecticut (FCS)
- Bentley with another tough non-conference game against D1-AA Central Conn. CC won their league last year and lost last week to New Hampshire 30-3.
1 pm
Saint Anselm @
Bryant (FCS)
- The Owls take on former NE-10 power Bryant.
Michigan Tech @
Lake Erie
- The Huskies take the long trip out of the UP to Ohio, but should open up their season with a Victory.
1:30 pm
Wayne State (Mich.) @
Tiffin
- Wayne was rather impressive against Northwood last weekend, I wouldn't expect them to be any different against Tiffin and their "Radar" D.
2:00 pm
Augustana @
Bemidji State
- The Beavers have their home opener, and start their drive for the playoffs here.
Findlay @
Northern Michigan
- The Wildcats open up the Dome after a tough loss loss at Mankato last week. Both GLIAC had tough losses last week, and neither team can afford to go 0-2 right now if they want to make the playoffs.
Minnesota State (24) @
Northern State
- The Landcows go on the road here, and look to capitalize on the close win they got last week to further their push to make a repeat appearance in the playoffs.
Minnesota-Duluth (2) @
Upper Iowa
- I still hate the dang Bulldogs for beating GVSU!!!
6:00 pm
Saginaw Valley (15) @
Ferris State
- Saginaw Valley snatched defeat from the Jaws of Victory last week with a very poorly timed fumble when the game was tied with less than 2 minutes left, and they were just 20 yards from pay dirt. Ferris got pasted by Hillsdale, yet showed a bit of fight in them. Things will get better for Ferris next week.
Mercyhurst @
Kutztown
- Mercyhurst has got to be loving life in the PSAC, where they're no longer the conference doormat.
American International 0
Stony Brook (FCS)
- Ummmm.... hell, I got nothing for this one.....
Southern Oregon (NAIA) @
Simon Fraser
- Non-conference game for the Clan, they just need to start doing the little things right up there and they'll be fine up there in BC.
7:00 pm
St. Cloud @
Concordia-St. Paul
- The Huskies go into the Cities for this conference matchup.
