Re: 2010-11 NHL Season part I: Blackhawks Down in Atlanta

Anyone frequent NHL.com or know when they usually have special one day deals etc?

I'm looking to buy a customized Sabres third jersey for my girlfriend for Xmas and was hoping to try and cut down the price a little bit.

Any ideas?

lmao....F no...I still need to get the Selleck name plate sewed back on the black Oswego third jersey I won a couple years ago in the auction. Was planning on wearing it when I go see the Amerks play in December against Binghamton.

I know this is probably flogging the proverbial dead horse, but when will the NHL be held accountable for the blatant ripoff that is the Center Ice package?

For the second time this week, the Leafs are at home and there's no Leafs broadcast.

DirecTV advertises "Dual Feeds is a special feature of NHL® CENTER ICE®. When available, it lets you choose between the home and away broadcasts of the same game." There is NOT ONE dual feed of Leafs games during the month of October.

A check of the October schedules for the other Canadian teams shows only a handful of "dual feeds", with NOT ONE Canadian feed in HD.

Alright as the President of the Tim Thomas sucks fan club....

I officially have resigned my position at this current moment.

The man is flat out playing out of his dome right now.

Can't hate on him right now.

He is looking REALLY, REALLY good. Makes you wonder how much of his struggles were due to the hip last year. Minus that bonehead pass tonight, he's been just about perfect.

Boston is looking EXCELLENT thus far.

Interesting goal let in by Kiprusoff against the Wings. Off his helmet, shoulder, and rolls down his back into the net. About 2 days later, the referees realize that it's in the net.

I'm not in Toronto. I'm one of hundreds of fans of Canadian teams that live in the US and that are getting hosed.

The Leafs in Toronto can be seen on HNIC, TSN and Rogers Sportsnet -- Leafs TV is a premium channel IIRC

Re: 2010-11 NHL Season part I: Blackhawks Down in Atlanta

TSN and HNIC aren't part of Center Ice. CI is a rip off for a lot of reasons, most of them centering around most cable providers only having a small handful of dedicated HD channels for it. Getting a ton of games in SD is brutal. Gamecenter Live online is pretty sweet though.

Perhaps I'm misinterpreting the comment, but I have had Center Ice for 8 years, and HNIC and TSN are both part of it. On Saturday's we get the pre-game, the two games, and the post game. TSN games are sprinkled throughout the slate of games.

That being said, it is totally brutal getting the games in SD. My carrier (Comcast) finally added an HD game channel this season, so I am at least getting a game or 2 a night in HD.

Still, I'll take watching every Canadiens game in SD over not getting to see any at all. I just wish I didn't always have to have their opponent's feed. Thankfully, with TSN's announcement yesterday of a regional Habs package, I may not have to much longer.

Jesus. 6,700 for the 'Yotes game last night?

They should let them pack it up and road show it for the season, it may get better attendance.

I know with some Google searching, you can find 20% off from Shop.NHL pretty regularly. Even 10% off is enough to cover shipping (unless your order gets free shipping). AFFTP7 is currently 20% off.

Doesn't look like jerseys are covered with that promotion though. :( Try Google searching for "Shop.NHL Coupon" for other variations.

There is one city that would love to have them. :D However, our Commissioner hates Canada.
