Re: 2009-2010 NHL Season Thread 2: Its all going up in flames!

CBJ player whacks his own teammate in the face, and Lucic gets called for a high-sticking double minor with 1:31 left in a 2-2 game.

3-2, now. 1:16 left, and Columbus still on the PP.

That's a new one. Did the NBA take over officiating duties for the evening?

Well, they got the details right. A stick caught Brussard in the face, and it drew blood. Sure, they got the wrong stick (and from the replay, it's kinda obvious), but that's just a minor detail.

double major
A typo that was fixed before you even quoted the post.

OH SNAP!

I hardly every watch the Rangers post game show and boy did I ever pick a good night to finally tune into one.

Torts and Larry Brooks got into a great verbal disagreement during the post-game presser.

I hope clips turn up here soon because it's great! :D

A mildly interesting eight round shootout, but Detroit salvages the extra point. *whew*

I wasn't expecting the Wild to do much this year, but what has been going on lately is still ticking me off.

In October, I was already taking solice in the fact there is a draft lottery. Then, they rattle off a great end of November and a decent month of December, winning a franchise record number of games in a month. Sprinkle in the epic 4 game homestand against Calgary, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Vancouver and you end up with the bastard of all bastard: HOPE

There is a word for this kind of behavior--one with which I was all too familiar with in my college days: TEASE :(

Of course, I have now found my love, my wife and all those days of college matter not. For the record. However, those days still sucked.

Only thing I can possibly guess is that Krejci was positioned just right so he blocked enough of the referee's view of whose stick it was. That or he was too busy watching the puck and reacted when the player reacted to getting hit.

I'd like to say, it must be a miracle that CBC announcers can even speak with the Hab male sexual organ in their mouth.

Voros kicked that guy's butt in a fight and the CBC guy says the Habs are beating the Rangers on the ice and in the alley.

Dude, Voros hit your guy about 12-15 times. Your guy hit Voros once. Voros got hit, collected himself, and hit your guy about 5 more times.

Not unless that fight took place in Seoul could the Habs be considered to win that fight.

I hope people understand that reference.

Speaking of HNIC, they just interviewed a Florida Panther (Kenndal Mcardle) who scored his first career goal, with one of the most pronounced stutters I've ever seen on TV. Must have been real nerve-wracking on his part, but good on him for going live.

Dear Minnesota Wild,

Thank you for Benjamin Pouliot.

Sincerely,

Montreal Canadiens
