I am no fan of No Labels but they aren't stupid enough to believe any of that BS.
 
Even it it were true it shouldn't be viewed as a badge of honor. Reaganism was a precursor to MAGA and is a big reason why the GOP is full of terrible, terrible people.

On Thursday, a federal district court struck down the congressional and legislative gerrymanders that Georgia Republicans enacted after the 2020 census, ruling that they illegally discriminated against Black voters in violation of the Voting Rights Act.

The lower court gave the Republican-led legislature until Dec. 8 to redraw one congressional district and seven legislative districts to empower Black voters, and GOP Gov. Brian Kemp has called a special legislative session beginning Nov. 29 to draw new maps. However, like their brethren in Alabama, Georgia Republicans may just try to draw new discriminatory maps and fight to preserve them on appeal.

I still cannot figure out why they didn't just put Gymmy Boy in there. They're exactly the same. Gymmy Boy just has more baggage because he's been in the "press" longer.

Do not underestimate the power of visceral, personal hatred.

Jim Jordan is hated by other Members, like Ted Cruz, Matt Gaetz, and MTG. (Boebert isn't hated, she's just considered a joke).

Mike Johnson simply has not had the time to accumulate hatred, but obviously he will, because nobody can hold that job now and not become vermin in his fellow Members' eyes.

Because that's exactly why they wanted the new guy. None of the Gym Jordan baggage. Way easier to hide behind the "unnamed" candidate and play stupid in knowing what he brings.
 
MAGA is already bitching that he indicated Ukraine funding was still on the table, even though he wants Biden's $106b proposed aid package for Ukraine, Israel, and the southern border to be split into separate bills (presumably so he can reduce/kill all Ukraine funding without getting Rs accused of failing to support Israel).
