He is right though we can't do this every couple months it's grinding the government to a halt and things are being screwed up over it.

At some point a line needs to be drawn or the only thing Congress will be dealing with is Impeachment and the Debt Ceiling. That is beyond dysfunctional.

It's not going to matter though unless Qevin survives. The next Speaker won't cut any deals and the government will shut down. That eill be how they wil secure the votes.

we don't hold power. The best thing we can hope for is not losing ground.
 
Real governments hold elections when they can't pass a budget, infact they bake the call for elections into it when the vote fails. Part of me wonders if this is the point. The traitors want a Constitutional Convention.

It's a conservative thing right now. The Tories are hideously unpopular right now but limp along to avoid an election being called before December 2024 in the UK since running now would see them getting smoked.
 
So Gavin really should name a replacement this week, right?

hasn’t he already announced that it would be a black woman? Rings a bell and now I’ve seen a bunch about it- which explains the insane Oprah/meggie markle bs being peddled

I’ve also heard that he doesn’t plan on following tradition of naming someone who won’t seek a full term. So whoever he names likely runs against Porter and schiff if neither of them are named

Barbara being tossed around too but you don’t replace one senior citizen for another

Personally, I loved the meme going around that was captioned "Newsome has the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever..." and was a photo of an article from a California paper that said Hunter Biden had just bought a home in Malibu.

She seems very Kamala. Looks good demographically but also advised AirBnB and Uber.

I do like the concept of naming people who haven't come up through elected office. About the only way to ever have intelligent office holders.

One thing is for sure; looking over my list of clients, it's a good thing I have neither the charisma, nor the ambition to run for office. I'd be shredded by both the Trumpanzees and the Berners by sundown.

OMG, that is perfect. I am going to use that now.

But remember, they are the state school kids. The Try Hards who reek with their desperation to prove they are As Good As. The actually smart kids went off to academia and couldn't be bothered with politics. If you meet a Tier-1 grad who is in a public-facing position, in politics or business, they are either a legacy or a failure.

Apparently Matt "Human Forehead" Gaetz spoke in Congress today. Everyone assumed he'd file his motion to vacate. But... he did not. He reiterated his threats, and said he'd do it if McCarthy didn't disclose "the deal with the Democrats on Ukraine".

He's never going to pull the trigger, and at this point I think McCarthy will just ignore his bleating. A stronger man would have ignored him from the start, but hey.
