Any honest and regular DU fan knows, it is very rare for a Gwozdecky team to play like they did last night - 2 nights in a row. Denver might as well wear different jerseys because it will be a different team out there tonight. Did Hope make the Michgan trip?

DU only travels with 2 goaltenders, so no, Hope did not make the trip. However, I wonder if they flew him out late last night or early this morning... Or does DU have a player already on the trip that is designated "the emergency goalie?"

In addition to Juho Olkinuora starting at goaltender, all of Denver's forward lines and defensive pairings have been changed. Drew Shore centers Jason Zucker and Matt Tabrum on DU's top line, while Nick Shore centers Jarrod Mermis and Ty Loney on the second line. Shawn Ostrow centers Zac Larraza and Dustin Jackson on the third line. Daniel Doremus and Luke Salazar are DU's fourth line forwards. Denver's defensive pairings are John Ryder and Scott Mayfield, Paul Phillips and Josiah Didier, and Joey LaLeggia, John Lee and David Makowski. Notice no Bennett again.

Where's Craig Patrick's grandfather when you really need him? Holy moly, the "Czar" gets demoted from the first line to "others in attendance?" Sounds like he's really in the dog house. Wasn't it the "Czar" who made that dumb pass at BC and wound up getting a very intense, very public earful of Gwozalalia?

This is exactly true. I'll be an ******* to those who deserve it, I have no problem giving it other a-holes. But people and fans that I get along with and I have respect for are completely different, I will be kind and respectful to them, just as I was to the BEMIDJI (emphasis because apparently our own *****y midget is a terrible ****ing speller) fans last week.

Anywho, I will GLADLY take this three points from DU! And uh.. I hope Murray gets better soon... because my fantasy team needs him bad.

Congrats to Tech and, well, MOST of their fans. I was greatly impressed with how much improved this team is over last year. Keep playing like this and you'll definitely make some noise this year. Tonight was a very well played game on both sides -- I thought both goaltenders had stellar games. Good luck with the rest of the season.

Well if Denver is a top five team in college hockey, then Tech will be top 10 next week. My guess is that Tech won't be ranked and Denver will be outside the top ten after this weekend.

Now I really wish I would have seen the BSU games so I could better understand how we put those two games in between a sweep of WI and taking 3/4 from Denver. I'm glad we're not going to have bottom feeders like Denver in the WCHA much longer. No one is going to come to Tech games if they know we are just going to roll all over them. Tech fans want to see teams that put out 60 minutes of effort every night.

For sure. It was fun to watch. When Tech went down 4 on 3, I was thinking we should just give Denver the goal and move on. You can't defend that power play with 3 men even if there were only 4 on the other side. Hopefully Murray gets better soon (I have not fantasy hockey connection).

That game was closer than the score indicated. Still disappointing to take a tie, due to two miraculous glove saves by the DU goalie - he just barely tipped Kero's shot over the net in OT. I hate ties but oh well, we can still say "undefeated" at home.
When I think back to how (mostly) this same bunch of players played (horribly) against UND last spring, it's truly amazing what a difference a good coach can make.

It took DU about 13 minutes to get a shot on net. Other than that, very even game. Puzzled they kept trying and trying to hit those hail mary passes when I think every one was turned over. They can obviously skate well, but didn't use it effectively at all.

Great to see Gordic and Furne back in the swing of things. Tech played as tough as I expected tonight and did very well. I still don't think Denver is going to be a cellar dweller this season. They're a tough team, but so is Tech.....and I think Denver was complacent.....believed their own press. Tech won't be able to escape the rankings......especially if they come to play against Mankato next week.
