Will say once more, if this truly WAS Russia as you posit, me thinks all of you wouldnt have the ability to post most of what you have. I dont care how HUGE you think your balls are.

I don't think you said anything stupid. I do think the statement was a bit hyperbolic and then I didn't appreciate the repeat snark after just because I spoke my piece. However I understand your overall point and I fully agree shit has gotten bad - but the country has not yet degraded so far that it's the same as Russia, Hungary, Belarus...

Now if Orange Droolius fully gets his way all bets are off. I mean he said this just 5 months ago

Not sure which CNN pundit said it last night--Axelrod or Emmanual?--"We're going from zero to Hungary in eight months."

Trump's takeover of the Kennedy Center seems so long ago but it was one of the first of the 2nd term "salami tactics" eliminating any voices that don't fall in line to Dear Leader and his agenda.

Trump has again in his press conference in Britain claimed that he won the election in 2020. He also has repeated the claim that countries were sending people from mental institutions into the US and he needs to remove them.

Another press conference in a foreign land where he lies about the Ukraine War (blames Biden for it, and says it never would have happened if he were President).

As I recall, Britain has some pretty harsh defamation laws. Seems to me someone should be tracking and recording those statements.
 
The Kimmel BS seems to be a result of the Dump administration coordinating with the larger affiliate owners like Sinclair, Tegna, and Nexstar pressuring ABC/Disney to take Kimmel off the air. Granted, this doesn’t absolve Disney from bowing to the pressure.
 
Yes Nexstar threatened to pre-empt Kimmel on all their stations which would have screwed over ABC so they caved. Kimmel didnt even discuss Kirk...

I would love to be part of the conversation on MSNBC related to the Kimmel story and it's chilling effects on first amendment, but unfortunately I was terminated by MSNBC for stating that "hateful thoughts lead to hateful words which lead to hateful actions".

I guess we just need to get used to the fact that billionaire's are controlling everything. The only thing we have control over is they want our money, and we can try our best not to give it to them.

Exactly. I have seen a lot of mention of contacting and boycotting Disney and ABC, and while that may give them some pressure to stand up to the affiliate owners, contacting and boycotting the affiliates and affiliate owners themselves should also be considered a second front.

Also, they own stations across all of the networks. They could (and probably will) do the same thing to CBS, NBC, etc., so while it's good to hit Disney and ABC where it hurts, pressuring the affiliates and their owners is getting to the problem at its source.

For as much crap that we (deservedly) give to the networks for helping Dump, the affiliate owners like Sinclair, Tegna, and Nexstar are far far worse. They’ve been building the fascist takeover runway unchecked for 30 plus years.
