Your program's Mount Rushmore

Re: Your program's Mount Rushmore

For Vermont

By pro career

Tim Thomas
Martin St Louis
John Leclair
Aaron Miller

By Ncaa career(apologies to players from before mid 80's that I never saw play)
Martin St Louis
Aaron Miller
Eric Perrin
Jamie Sifers

I would also add Gilligan for coaching the program for so long and Joe Fallon who pretty much carried the team as it entered Hockey East and broke most of Thomas' records. I like Sifers in there.

Re: Your program's Mount Rushmore

York, Kelley, Ceglarski. These should be locked down in any voting, allowing only the 4th name to be chosen.

After that, I'd have to say Leetch.

Other nominees could be Mike Mottau and David Emma (necessarily as Hobey winners), Brian Gionta, Bill Guerin, Joe Mullen, Kevin Stevens

Re: Your program's Mount Rushmore

Maybe it's owing to our short, short history, but of the Bentley Mount Rushmore, there's two coaches (one of which is the current and a former player), and one's a current player:

Jim McAdams (former all-time winningest coach who oversaw the transition into D1)
Ryan Soderquist (McAdams' best player, the player who brought the team into D1, and is now the current and all-time winningest coach)
Brett Gensler (Walter Brown Award winner in 2012 and the most dynamic scorer Bentley's ever had)
Dain Prewitt (former single season goals record holder, could score from anywhere on a rink)

Honorable mention:
Branden Komm
Bobby Preece
Anthony Canzoneri
Jeff Gumaer
Simon St. Pierre
Garrett Trull

Would it be cliche if I asked for the Mt. Rushmore of BC to just include the four sides of York's head?

Re: Your program's Mount Rushmore

Agree with Kelley and York. Ceglarski not in the same class as those two. Also disagree with Leetch. One year at BC not enough. Guerin and Stevens not in the conversation with Mottau, Emma, Gionta and Mullen. Mottau and Emma won Hobeys but their teams didn't get over the hump and win the big one. Mullen scored 500 plus goals in the NHL and got his team to the NCAA title game. Gionta was not the scorer Mullen was, but played way bigger than he was and led his team to the title. Awful hard to go against those four.

Providence
Merrimack
Alabama Huntsville
Miami
Vermont
Michigan
Alaska Anchorage
Colorado College
Alaska
Union
Yale
Air Force
Bentley
AIC
Cornell

The Following Schools have only 4 nominations. If no further nominations come in by the 14th, their Rushmore will be set:
Holy Cross (Tony Quesada, Paul Pearl, Tyler McGregor, Rev. Francis J. Hart)
UConn (Todd Krygier, John Chapman, Warde Manuel, Brian Krygier)
Massachusetts (Jon Quick, Thomas Pock, Greg Mauldin, James Marcou)
Lowell (Dwayne Roloson, Jon Morris, Mike Carr, Bill Riley)
Ohio State (Paul Pooley, Jamie Macoun, Ryan Kesler, RJ Umberger)
Penn State (Joe Battista, Terry Pegula, John Dufford, Lynn Sipe)
Notre Dame (Lefty Smith, Dave Poulin, Jack Brownschidle, Jeff Jackson)
Quinnipiac (John Lahey, Jack McDonald, Rand Pecknold, Reid Cashman)
Western Michigan (Harry Lawson, Bill Wilkinson, Dan Dorian, Wayne Gagne)

The following schools have incomplete or idiotic lists:
New Hampshire (Tim Horst, Nathan Martz, Matt Dzieduszycki, Brian Yandle, Travis Banga, Eddie Caron, Josh Ciocco)
Dartmouth (Brian McCloskey)
Princeton (Hobey Baker, Syl Apps III, Dan Bartlett)
Colgate (Chris Ladner)

The following schools have yet to have any nominations:
Sacred Heart
Robert Morris
Niagara
Mercyhurst
Army
Canisius
Nebraska Omaha

Remember, July 14th (this Saturday) is the last day for nominations to come in. Hopefully, all the Mount Rushmore polls will be done by Sunday.

Also, voting for the program that you follow ends July 20th, so make sure that you get your vote in that thread to make sure that your vote for your program is given its proper weight.

Re: Your program's Mount Rushmore

Nominees to start Air Force's list: Eric Ehn, Tim Kirby, Jacques Lamoureux - Hobey finalists. Coach Frank Serratore. Maybe Vic Heyliger? Chuck Delich - all time scorer?

I would throw Andrew Volkening, Marc Kielkucki, Justin Kiefer and Kim Newman into the mix as well.

i'd have to respectfully disagree with Ceglarski. I dont care how many games he won, he won virtually no hardware at BC and had a slew of future NHL stars on his team while he was there. I say of him that no one did less with similar talent

Today is the last day for nominations to come in. Any school with less than 4 legit nominations will not have a Mount Rushmore.

Also, voting for the program that you follow ends July 20th, so make sure that you get your vote in that thread to make sure that your vote for your program is given its proper weight.

Don't forget that Lenny was a star on the '49 national championship team. As well as having a fantastic record as coach in tournament consolation games.

my father (BC '52) has told me about the '49 team so many times that i feel like i saw them play myself;)

Re: Your program's Mount Rushmore

The polls for selecting the team that you follow (and thus giving your vote extra weight in that program's poll) ends in a few hours.
