Like I said - bull****. Canada may not be far behind, but the US on average has more talent top to bottom.
I call bull**** on your bull****. Canada is very close, just compare:
GK: Turner has dropped off of cliff without playing time, Schulte has a good future but Crepeau is just as capable.
Wingback: Robinson and Dest are very good but Alphonso Davies blows both of them out of the water (best player in CONCACAF, zero doubt) and Alistair Johnson is very capable as well. It's close but Davies gives Canada an edge.
Defense: Ream should never see the field again he's fallen that much and he got covered for a lot at Fulham, Richards is decent but is lazy and makes mistakes, Miles Robinson should probably be starting, and Cameron Carter-Vickers is at Celtic for a reason (he's not good enough). Canada has two solid Ligue 1 defenders in Cornelius and Bombito, Bombito just transfering out of Colorado for a hefty fee. It's a wash here.
Midfield: USMNT has an edge here simply due to Pulisic, but not as much as you think. Reyna, Musah, McKennie, Weah, and Adams are all talented
but they barely play. Eustaquio isn't as talented but he's solid and capable, same with Choiniere. Shaffelburg and Ahmed are MLS players but solid.
Forward: Jonathan David wins here hands down. Doesn't matter who the US starts, Balogun, Pepi, Wright, and Sargent are nowhere near David.
