Here is my USSF prediction. They will pay every single player the same regardless of gender or what team they are associated with. So the beach players and the futsal will be paid the exact same as the women's teams.

EDIT: I forgot about the PARA 7-A-SIDE NATIONAL TEAM.

God I hope you're right. I have a strange work environment where even The Kids are still milking away at Hate Radio. But they are third gen ex-mil Dumpies from rural fundy counties, so they are not America.

Fun watching the Classic MLS block on ESPN2 today.

1996 MLS Cup
2001 MLS Cup
LA Galaxy v Chelsea (Beckham's debut)
LAFC v LA Galaxy 2019 Playoffs

Kinda dumb it was all LA Galaxy matches but at least it was all LA Galaxy losses. I'd also forgotten how many times the Galaxy went to OT in MLS Cup.

I wonder if anyone has/will stream the NASL finals? My intro to soccer was the Cosmos team that beat Vancouver in 77.

Edit: holy crap it was the Sounders. My memory is that game was the White Caps. It was the one where the goalie made the incredible howler and allowed a Cosmos player to sneak in a steal the ball. Maybe it was the SF?

Nope, Seattle eliminated Vancouver in the playoffs that year.

BTW, Soccer Bowl 77 (glad they don’t call it that anymore) was played in Portland.

I see that. We knocked out Ft. Lauderdale (11-5 tie, LOL 70s soccer = 80s hockey), which was the power team that year.

I must have watched an RS game against Vancouver.

Yeah the NASL was weird.

I doubt there’s anything available for broadcast from the NASL, outside of the one season ABC did and that’s if they kept the tapes, as most of the broadcasts were local stations or syndicated. I know there’s a few Sounders ones on YouTube that someone kept and posted but beyond that I dunno.

I think it was WOR who did the local NYC broadcasts; they were hilariously bad. The radio coverage (WNEW maybe?) was actually quite good. Chinaglia was so much fun to watch.
