Given United's continued struggles I am curious to see how this goes. He was hardly the only guy to struggle post Ferguson. I actually think you'll see an uptick from Spurs in the short term but obviously long term success is a huge question mark.

I can't believe this format was ever agreed to. Rules for the various host nations, the ridiculous playoff format to determine last teams in. Just looked up Euro 2024 and thankfully see there is one host nation.

it seems like MLS is definitely chasing $ with expansion lately...it doesn't feel like Nashville & Charlotte are really places that MLS will flourish. Just places with someone with deep pockets.

On the other hand FC Cincinnati just sold a 20% stake for $100 million, valuing the team at $500 million. Something is driving the values of these teams. (For comparison the asking price of Newcastle United is £350 million or about $460 million)

It just seems like they’re trying to spread the footprint of the league for TV, and it seems to be working because there’s no other way the last place team in the East is worth $500 million.
