Re: World Soccer XXVI: Fun for MLS Fans and Eurosnobs Alike

Will this be enough for me to finally get officially on board with an MLS team?

Meh. Maybe. Better than cheering for a Chicago team or cherry picking one of the four clubs that MLS wants to succeed.

Well I bought season tickets to Minnesota United yesterday...

No kidding? I want a soccer specific stadium like Kansas City but I don't want to pay for it...didn't want to pay for target field or the new metrodome either...
I haven't followed the story very closely but I haven't seen anything about them wanting money. I would think they'd be smart enough to know they probably won't get it.

From what I heard it's just utility upgrades but most of that is coming in conjunction with the newest light rail line...

I think these new USA jerseys are even worse than the World Cup ones. Someone must have thought it would be a fun idea to include every shade of blue that's been used before.

Also, attendance is looking like a hockey regional, but the weather doesn't look to nice in Denmark right now so I can't blame them.

The jerseys just keep getting worse, it feels like...

As did the play from the US throughout today's game. A last second goal withstanding, we just blew this one. Denmark scores to go up 3-2 in the 91st.

not surprised, its really not as big a deal as people make it out to be, half that roster at the end was experimental players...

I don't really care that much. The only friendlies I really care about are the hyped up top ten matches (like Germany or Brazil), the top tier Euro squads (when we played Italy) and WC tune ups. It just sucks these games count in the rankings, even if it is at a discounted points distribution.
