Canada playing Mexico at the Azteca. Good luck Canucks, you're gonna need it.

And they don't really have any real hate for Canadian Soccer. Just those poor skaters having to go into that pit.

The last time a Colombian did that in the US he got... oh nevermind.

Re: World Soccer XXVI: Fun for MLS Fans and Eurosnobs Alike

Welp, that'll be two Olympics in a row the US has missed now.

Re: World Soccer XXVI: Fun for MLS Fans and Eurosnobs Alike

If this is the future of US Soccer we are *ed.

Re: World Soccer XXVI: Fun for MLS Fans and Eurosnobs Alike

POR-BEL played a friendly wearing two of the ugliest kits ever.

I don't even mind losing by a goal over two legs to what was actually the second best under-23 team in South America.

What I do mind is the fact that we could not get by freaking Honduras in our region to get to the Olympics the easy way.

Also, we're almost certainly going to qualify for the Hex at this point, but would getting dumped from Copa America with, say 2 losses and a draw, be enough to can this guy?

I'm just worried at this point we'll be fighting it out with Saudi Arabia or Uzbeki-beki-beki-stan in November, 2017, over two legs.

whatever, all it's about is getting these younger players into more high pressure games right? they got 2 of those versus Colombia instead of getting what, 3 of them at the olympics? I call that sufficient.

And judging by the result in that second game they're in trouble. They got two red cards and should've had two more, they basically imploded in the face of pressure.

You really think Gil deserved a red card? I must admit that I was watching on a 2nd tv so I'm not entirely sure how it worked...did he get both yellow cards for the same foul? one for the foul and one for overly descent on that foul? Or did he get 2 yellow cards within 5 minutes of each other?

EDIT: Either way, Gil and Miazga will understand how easily a player will go down in those kinds of moments and play differently...

Gil got two yellows, one for throwing the ball at a player, the other was a dumb call but Gil had been stupidly out of control his whole time. Miazga's was a DOGSO and deserved. Parker should've gotten one for a stomp.

So in all the stuff I've seen about equal pay for WNT players I haven't heard any of the stuff that was discussed here awhile back...about the systems as a whole being setup completely different...thoughts?

I'm not sure what you mean, setup differently?

Ha the USWNT lawyer Jeff Kessler, a man who's lost two lawsuits on behalf of the MLS Players for antitrust and the NASL.

I keep thinking what a shame it would be for Leicester City to have the carriage turn back into a pumpkin, and it frankly seems like it won't happen.

Looking at their last 7 matches, you'd think they would be favored to take 3 pts from at least 5 of them.

Not even Steven Gerrard could slip enough times to screw this up.

Neutral fans need to see this happen at least once, and I was just a kid (and not following) when Blackburn had their fleeting moment.

Ahh Blackburn. I always find it funny to mention them to my "serious (insert Arsenal, Man United, Liverpool, or Chelsea) fan" friends and watch them go "what? Blackburn?"

Abby Wabach arrested for DUI.

Listen Abby, I know Portland sucks and all but they have taxis and Uber and even the MAX.

Comment winner:
Funny thing is everyone knew Lauren Holliday or Alex Morgan should’ve been the one driving last night. But Wambach, as she always does, insisted she be the one to drive and no one ever says no to Abby.
