Re: World Soccer XXVI: Fun for MLS Fans and Eurosnobs Alike

Yeah. It'll be interesting to see if they go through with it. Doesn't really effect most of the other leagues as they just operate on a split season but it would help MLS teams immensely.

yeah, significantly better for them to deal withe group stage in spring when they play more games and have some room for error.

Re: World Soccer XXVI: Fun for MLS Fans and Eurosnobs Alike

So if the results this weekend go a certain way, MLS could have a 7 team tie for first place.

Re: World Soccer XXVI: Fun for MLS Fans and Eurosnobs Alike

Olympic qualifying started last night, US beat Canada 3-1.

Re: World Soccer XXVI: Fun for MLS Fans and Eurosnobs Alike

Coca Cola and McDonalds have told Sepp Blattet to step down. Sepp replies "Pepsi!" and "Arby's!" and give them the FIFA salute.

Re: World Soccer XXVI: Fun for MLS Fans and Eurosnobs Alike

CONCACAF Cup is today, US vs Mexico. Time to play "what lineup will Jurgen come up with this time?"

Re: World Soccer XXVI: Fun for MLS Fans and Eurosnobs Alike

And the U23 team plays Honduras for the trip to Rio in like 5 minutes.

Re: World Soccer XXVI: Fun for MLS Fans and Eurosnobs Alike

U23 team loses to Honduras 2-0. Has to win the third place game to go to a playoff versus Colombia for an Olympic spot.

US Soccer off to a great start today!

Re: World Soccer XXVI: Fun for MLS Fans and Eurosnobs Alike

How was it decided that this game would be in LA?

Re: World Soccer XXVI: Fun for MLS Fans and Eurosnobs Alike

Michael bradley has some mysterious touches on the ball

Even if the US somehow wins this game i am just not seeing the progress

Re: World Soccer XXVI: Fun for MLS Fans and Eurosnobs Alike

This is technically an extension of the Gold Cup, so we should watch out for a late Mexican penalty on a terrible call.

Re: World Soccer XXVI: Fun for MLS Fans and Eurosnobs Alike

I think the hand ball was a good no call but doesn't matter. Mexico clearly better. So now what with klinsmann? Seems to have peaked and now we are regressing.
