Very cool. I've got to pick a team, though. Any advice?

I've got FC Koln (Cologne), but that's because I have a friend from there. I wouldn't recommend them. They got rid of Podolski a few years back and essentially became what the Mavericks would be without Dirk and were relegated. Finally made it back but have no real chance.

If you want a winner, pick Bayern.

If you like being part of the crowd, pick Dortmund.

If you served in Germany, pick Kaiserslautern.

If you like American players, pick Hanover.

If you like Aspirin, pick Leverkusen.

If you like Volkswagen, pick Wolfsburg.

One of my friends in school growing up was an exchange student from Gelsenkirchen, so I have a passing interest in Schalke 04.

As a Vikings fan, I have a soft spot for Leverkusen. If you like Hamburgers, would you pick Hamburger?

Or 1860 Munich if you like the local underdog to the dominant team.

W/T/F? Barcelona goes up 4 - 1 early in the second half vs. Sevilla in the Super Cup finals, so I run to another room to do a bit of web page updating. Come back through to get a soda and it's 4-4 now in the final 15' of ET.

Petro 115' seals it for Barcelona.

How much is Costa Rica getting paid to show up and get their arses kicked for these two games?

Did the entire Sporting KC team die in a bus crash last week and this was who they found to fill in? That's the only possible explanation for the Quakes being up 5-0.

Lol. Seattle plays Olimpia of Honduras in the CONCACAF CL. Olimpia scores 10 minutes in, proceeds to flop and roll for 80. Seattle scores twice in the 5 minutes of stoppage time. 2-1 Seattle. :D

Interesting... Our new neighbors just moved in today. I won't reveal who he is, but he plays quite regularly for a team whose name rhymes with Schmalaxy. Seems like a wonderful, down to earth, humble guy, and his wife is great, too.
