I'm familiar with City's history. Mid-table mediocrity in the EPL is something most other teams in England can only dream of. I actually have taken more interest in City than most teams, as I liked that they tried to give ManU a run for their money in Manchester. I was interested to the point that one time when I was traveling through Manchester and had a chunk of the day between trains, I walked over to the old Maine Road stadium, though it wasn't the best neighborhood. I liked that fact that City tended to have the local support of Manchester residents, as compared to ManU, who didn't draw as much local support, but was a global brand. They've had some tough times, but certainly not the world is ending misery you all try to make it sound like. Don't tell me I don't know at least some about City's history.
It's ironic that you say others, like Arsenal, wouldn't want to be in a position of not being able to pay wages, etc., when your club is leading the charge to drive up wages, makes things even less competitive, etc., putting further financial stress on a lot of smaller clubs. But, turn the blind eye and celebrate your purchased silverware.
