Bayern was the runner up in the CL that year. But still, your point holds.Re: his time at Bayern, I certainly won't argue he did a good job. At the same time, I don't think he did such a bad job that it should be a disqualifying factor. I mean, look at Louis van Gaal. The guy won the Champions League with Bayern in 2010 and was (justifiably) out on his rear by spring of 2011. It's a tough place to manage.

Any one of us here posting on this thread could manage Bayern to a 2nd place finish. What are you talking about? His Bayern team finished 2nd in the Bundesliga and was 9-3-2 in Euro tournaments...

Well at least they walked away from Bradley and didn't ride that tired horse for another cycle. I didn't really understand the move to bring back Bradley after last cycle anyway. Wonder Klinnsmann got the concessions he sought the last few times he was asked?

What type of formation does Klinsmann like to use?
good because we're deep at midfield! Since this is a soccer thread and all, anyone in the TC area interested in playing some rec league soccer on thursday nights?A non-traditional 0-11-0 formation.
I've always wanted the US to switch to 3-5-2 as their base formation. It takes advantage of our strengths, and doesn't really change the fact that our Defense is average at best.
