How is FSC losing MLS a great deal for FSC?

I'm not following this at all. Again, NBC is taking over the FSC side of the MLS deal. ESPN retains their piece of the MLS deal from what I understand, so nothing is getting taken away from the evil empire.
Didn't FSC just get that part of the deal?

I wasn't given that info, Craig. Thanks for the clarification.

I know tonight's a friendly, but what are we looking for from the new coach? What would be a positive and what would be a negative?

#USMNT lineup vs. Mexico: Howard; Cherundolo, Orozco Fiscal, Bocanegra (c), Castillo; Jones, Beckerman; Donovan, Bradley, Torres; Buddle
Am I reading that right? USA going with a 4-(2-3)-1? Interesting.

That's not the interesting part, we were playing that kind of formation in the Gold Cup.

The interesting part is that Bradley is playing at the pointy end of that midfield.

At the risk of coming off as a little bit racist... this Mexican color commentator is really ****ing me off.

I think he's Uruguayan, but yeah, not really bringing a lot to the booth.

Also in the "not bringing a lot" department: Edson Buddle, Jermaine Jones.

MLS announces a three year deal with NBC Sports starting next season. 45 games per year across NBC and NBC Sports networks. Great deal for MLS, NBC, and FSC really.
http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2011/08/10/mls-nbc-sports-agree-three-year-broadcast-deal

Three year deal. 45 MLS games per season plus 4 USMNT games. 2 MLS regular season games, 2 playoff games, and 2 USMNT games on NBC. That would be network television NBC. The rest of the games on NBC Sports (Versus).

Thing to note, World Cup rights are coming up soon. NBC had won the rights last time but got shut out because they haven't been broadcasting US games and MLS games and so Chuck Blazer reopened the bid and ESPN won.

Basically everybody wins: MLS and the USSF get another major broadcaster on board, MLS and USSF get network tv time, NBC gets some good programming for the summer for NBC Sports, NBC looks better to FIFA for World Cup rights.
