Remember when I said MLS referees aren't as bad as you think? Watching this game should remind you of that.

And Monterrey is reminding us why we all hate Mexican soccer.

Hilarious that Di Maria was the one who wound up getting sent off after all the hacking Alonso and Arbeloa and Pepe did all game.

The first leg of the CONCACAF Champions league final ends in a 2-2 draw. Last leg on the 27th in Salt Lake.

Real Salt Lake - 2, Monterrey - 2. We may have to stop calling them Fake Salt Lake.

RSL loses Beckerman for leg 2 do to caution accumulation, but I still like RSL, at home, to basically not lose and not give up 2 goals.

That was a horrible yellow card. But considering where the game was played, I'm happy the ref didn't shoot Beckerman in the face for daring to complete a pass.

Again though, who cares about that sort of relativism? I mean, of course one of the richest countries in the world should be able to produce better referees than El Salvador. That's hardly an achievement.

No one disputes that MLS referees could certainly be worse; but they totally be a lot better as well.

Not only are the Revs keeping and paying Feilhaber, rumor has it that they are adding United Healthcare (who are evil and still owe me $300 from an xray four years ago, but I guess all is forgiven now) as a jersey sponsor.

Joel Lindpere is once again making an excellent case for me to put his number on my future Red Bulls kit.

Edit: Then Agudelo makes an even stronger case. What a goal!

3': Colorado's Brian Mullan gets a straight red for breaking Steve Zakuani's leg in a horribly mistimed challenge.
