Is Prus even an international referee? I agree he's probably the best one in MLS, but I don't think he's on the FIFA list.

If I'm not mistaken, he got his U.S. FIFA badge in the last year or so.

(I know he's not originally American... am I completely out to lunch in thinking that he might have had a badge from his original association when he started reffing here?)

If this holds till halftime I would expect Italy to come out and start the world diving competition in an effort to come back via send offs, penalties and free kicks.

Until then they will probably play normal knowing they are the better team.

I'm shocked at your cynicism. :p

If I were from New Zealand and at the World Cup, I would definitely wear one of those inflatable kiwi hats that they just showed on TV.

I forgot how much "fun" is involved in watching a team full of diving pansies was.

Post.

Edit: PK because holding a shirt causes an Italian to fall on his face.

I guess they started well before the half. My bad. Apparently that makes me an optimist.

What's with the thumb sucking celebrations? I never understood that.

Looking at the replays of the foul leading to the penalty, do their feet get tangled?

I think they're biting their thumbs like in Romeo and Juliet and it's a secret insult to everyone else.

But I think I hate the Italians, so there.

God, I really do not like De Rossi.

Wow, that news about France is HIGH-LARIOUS.

Huh, imagine that, the New Zealand guy got fouled and DIDN'T roll around on the ground afterward. Is that allowed?
