No, the Algerian should have been honored to be fouled by an England player and given the FK to the Three Lions.

I think this match ends up 1 - 0 or 2 - 0 for England. They seem to be getting closer and closer to breaking through.

And we advance if we beat Algeria.

Algerians literally grab Crouch around the waist with the last kick of the game and he can't even jump.

I give this ref an F.

That's shocking. Almost more so than the Swiss result.
So, after two matches:
Team, points, goal difference, goals scored
Slovenia 4 +1 (3)
USA 2 +0 (3)
England 2 +0 (1)
Algeria 1 -1 (0)

I didn't think the ref was that bad. Clearly not as bad as the first two today.

England has 1 goal scored, not 2.

- US has to win.

If Slovenia beats/ties England
- US needs only a tie.

If ENG/SLO tie and we tie, though, we need their goals scored to be <= 1 more than ours for the last game. And if it's two more, we pick straws!

Algeria was hacking England all over the pitch, got 1 yellow. Look at the yellow Carragher got compared to what Algeria got away with.

Gerrard was hauled down in the box for a corner, nothing. Crouch grabbed around the waist, no foul.

Algeria dove all over the pitch and kept getting calls.

And the games are on at the same time next week, so it's play to win (like it should always be) for the US.
