It sounds like we have some good folks in here that are going to become referees to help fix things so that's exciting news. Good luck to all of you who are going to bring your expertise to our game in the near future. Just remember to call it both ways! ; )![]()
The only explanation I have - and I don't know that it is much of one - is that the US team arrived more "fully formed", without much room for improvement, while the other teams benefited greatly by the week of games playing with one another. Because compared to last Thursday, Canada was two steps quicker and that meant winning more of the 50-50 pucks and less time-and-space for the US, and all the other cliches. Just night and day, the experience of the two nights compared to one another.
I'm pretty shocked. Did not expect that, not in the slightest.
All I can say is wow, that was a great atmosphere and the future of women's hockey is bright. Hard to believe these young ladies are high school age. So much talent on the ice at such a young age
The TSN coverage set a new standard, and Wisconsin made a case that they should host a frozen four, rules be damned.
Only if they change that overhead main camera position. That sucked and came across as very amateurish and improvised like they had never seen a televised hockey game before so they just stuck that camera in anywhere they could find that seemed good enough, but it wasn't good enough at all. Is that really the best location they have available for the main camera???? They need to find a more normal position for it. I would not pay to watch a game there online if that's the regular location of their game-camera. It was terrible to watch from that ridiculously high angle.
Tell me you just watched your first telecast from LaBahn without telling me you just watched your first telecast from LaBahn.![]()
Lmao, ok. I don't choose to pay to watch games that are almost a given before the game starts. I don't find it compelling so I rarely watch the top teams by choice because the outcomes are so freaking predictable, and if they do get upset by someone on rare occasion it doesn't bother me that I missed it. I also get very bored reading so many posts about the top teams, so I don't read most of that crap either. Sorry to burst your bubble. And to repeat what I said previously, that is absolutely the worst camera angle I have ever seen. Somebody fix it! Lol
What you do or don't watch and read is of no importance to me. My "bubble" is just fine.
Oh good. Then get in your bubble, float up to the rafters, and take down that camera from that ridiculous and amateurish location and place it somewhere normal. What an embarrassment especially for such a highly ranked D1 program like that! It's shocking. Tsk, tsk.
I doubt that anyone associated with the UW hockey program particularly cares about your opinion of their telecasts. They are doing OK, despite.
Hate to burst your... well, you know.
A school and program of that stature shouldn't be satisfied with just "doing ok," regardless of any one person's opinion. That's a D3 attitude. Shameful for a program like theirs. Are they simply not aware of how brutal that camera angle is or maybe it's complacency that has set it so they just don't care anymore. Either way, two wrongs don't make right. Only three lefts make a right. Not caring about improving their broadcasts is disappointing. You've been easy and fun to play with. Have a great night. Lol
Well, learn to deal with it, or don't watch. Because that's the way it is, and that's the way it will be. The building is the building; been that way since 2012, whether you were watching or not.
(And it just hosted a very successful international tournament, despite your disappointment.)
