Some key matchups this weekend:
Manhattanville @ Elmira
St. Marys @ Concordia Mn

Hmm...I thought there would be more but I guess not. Did I miss any?


I'm also interested to see how Plattsburgh v Neumann and RIT v Utica turn out.

I'd Say the Augsburg/St Thomas series is interesting--just for the sake of seeing how down St Thomas is this year.
As well as the St Scholastica/Lake Forest series...as I haven't quite figured out the Saints yet.

After watching DIII hockey for so many years, I can't understand why any western based team would be in the top 5 at any point in the season....just saying...that's all!! :o

because no matter how much you think they're just a bunch of junior varsity players, they still do amazing. the simple fact that there isn't a lot of east-west action throughout the season makes it hard to judge. the fact that you think that no west team should be in the top 5 shows that you're just extremely biased and should have no say in any poll

I believe Seymore is just speaking on past precedent at the Women's Frozen Four where the West's record is not good at all against Eastern teams.

I agree with your statement about it being hard to judge. However, this very logic prompts me to ask on what basis you feel that UWRF should be ranked fourth, ahead of Norwich, for example? Why not third or fifth? Maybe we should just split the poll into an East poll and a West poll?
