I'm really surprised to see Gustavus Still ranked...i'm guessing it is based on name recognition.

2-2-2 with two wins against a 1-7 team, 2 losses to "unranked" (UST is ranked below them despite taking 3 points from them) teams and 2 ties to USt and River Falls.

Nothing that deserves a ranking in the top 10 right now. How does UWS fall out without playing and have teams that lost stay in?

Clearly you don't read all the threads and posts here. This far from the worst use of the English language. Just needs some punctuation to make it understandable and an "m" was left off "the" (should have been "them"). So, what is being asked is (as I read it):

"Since we're only a third of the way through the season, why are teams ranked as they are? Has anyone seen them (all the various teams) play?"

Easy enough!

Thanks for the translation.

In response to the question. Well there are a couple of factors, mainly based on what happened last year and what the records are up until this point. I doubt anyone has seen all the teams play, I've only seen one of the top 10 play but I feel fairly good about the poll. There isn't anything too outrageous on there.

Agreed. It amazes me though how much some people seem to care about this poll and get their panties in a twist over it - again, it's ONLY a FAN OPINION POLL... While it's interesting to see what and how people think, it's totally meaningless.

I don't think its that people get their panties in a twist as you put it. A lot of times people are curious about teams they don't know. 4and20 put St Kates in his top ten...and someone asked him why...probably is curious about why a team thats a perennial cellar dweller is being put in a top ten list.

I'm curious why people are putting gustavus in their top ten despite the fact the only team they have beat has 1 win. People are just looking for reasoning.

Exactly. I wasn't upset. I was curious why he put St. Kate's in the top ten rather than GAC or UST who are typically better teams within the MIAC. I was just wondering if he knew something I didn't.

No twisted panties here.
