Women's Beanpot 2013 -- The Year's Only Competitive Beanpot

Re: Women's Beanpot 2013 -- The Year's Only Competitive Beanpot

The Minnesota parents with kids playing Hockey East love the game coverage from NU - outstanding picture quality and announcers!

The New Hampshire fans with no kids playing anywhere also love the game coverage from NU (and UVM as well) :)

Re: Women's Beanpot 2013 -- The Year's Only Competitive Beanpot

Mayor Menino has made me apprehensive about getting into or out of Boston in any time-sensitive fashion tonight

Re: Women's Beanpot 2013 -- The Year's Only Competitive Beanpot

Harvard 3
BU 0 Final

Re: Women's Beanpot 2013 -- The Year's Only Competitive Beanpot

Thought the first 15 minutes of the game was more like the Beanopot...not too much enthusiasm from either team but then they stepped up the intensity in the last 5 minutes of the first and carried it through to the end of the game.

By far the best Harvard team I've seen in the last 6 years.

BC 1 - NU 0 after one on a flukey goal.

Obvious from the opening face off that both teams want to be here. Very good effort, lots of quick crisp passes...good flow...nice to watch.

NU 4 - BC 3 Final.

Great game. BC is vastly improved from early in the season and NU is very exciting to watch...tremendous speed. Lots of talent on both teams. I just don't get BU.

Fun game to watch. Could someone please put TTT in a padded cell until he recovers

Okay, all you Husky fans out there, let a Crimson fan be the first to say it....

Apart from the NCAA championships, has there ever been a tournament in which the #2, #3, and #5 teams in the country were....the also-rans?

Congratulations!

Congrats in deed. Considering I went O-for-four on the Beanpot games, needless to say did not see it coming. Now the big question becomes, can they pull off a similar feat in HE ?

I was going to suggest that someone dispatch an ambulance over to his place just to be on the safe side but figured someone had already taken care of it. As I mentioned, vastly improved team from a few months ago, I'm quite impressed.

Forgot to mention, Desjardins should have had the second and third goals but still they prevailed.

For those who didn't see the game(s) here you go...just click on "video" for the game that you want to watch...

Well, a few minutes ago both games were there, I checked on each of them to make sure before I posted the link but for some reason only the NU vs BC game is now available.

Pretty sure Grant would like a rematch in the first round of the NCAA's. You know, that revenge thing, and it avoids them having to face BU.

And the NCAA wouldn't mind pairing BC and NU either; who knows they might even spring for the first class cabin on the Green Line! :D Would just be a question of which team gets the free round trip tickets! ;)

Wow.

They played a great game and out played the eagles. Not to knock bc. This team is something else. Gonna take awhile to process. I like Watson Rink's post about the also rans, and only in the Beanpot.

I am going to forgive the less then love out of TTT and Joe for now, I think they are in shock. I hope TTT's wife knows how to handle him over the next few days.

Re: Women's Beanpot 2013 -- The Year's Only Competitive Beanpot

With Harvard's win, that actually means it's no longer 2-3-5, it's 2 BC, 3 Harvard, and 4 BU who are the also rans!

And vs. TUCs (the RPI top 12), Northeastern is 2-0 in the Beanpot and 1-8 in all other games.
