Women's Beanpot 2013 -- The Year's Only Competitive Beanpot

Re: Women's Beanpot 2013 -- The Year's Only Competitive Beanpot

Trying to figure out all of the various ways that TTT is thinking off is a hopeless task.

Not really. Consists of only two thought processes...

BC is the best.
BU sucks.

...or sometimes three....

Will never forgive McGill for ruining the undefeated BC season that went up in smoke !!!

Spot on. Couldn't have summed it up better myself.

Parking in front of the door, and a short walk to the Cheesecake Factory for a pregame meal with DC....not a bad start to Beanpot Tuesday.

Re: Women's Beanpot 2013 -- The Year's Only Competitive Beanpot

"BC nearly doubled up the Lakers in shots in the loss, but more importantly played its first game of the season without sophomore standout Haley Skarupa who, at the time, was leading Hockey East in scoring."

TTT, I know she plays well above her years but isn't Skarupa a freshman?

You can park at the Front Door at Matthews on a weekday during business hours ?. Are you trying to intercept TTT ?. :D

Re: Women's Beanpot 2013 -- The Year's Only Competitive Beanpot

Well, just checked the Scoreboard, and Skarupa appears to be playing, listed in the lineup with 2 SOG.

Game still scoreless, late in the second, shots are 24-20 in favor of BC.

Alright, so much for anyone rolling over anyone tonight. Should be a fun third period and maybe beyond. I may be in CET (+6 hours), but I'll be up for it.

0-0 after two. Shots 25-24 in favor of BC. Skarupa got 4 SOG, so she is clearly playing.

Yeah you know, I knew I had made that mistake somewhere in the article, and then couldn't find it in the editor tool after like 5 minutes of searching and gave up haha. THANK YOU.

She did indeed play and she played well. She was missed.

Beautiful goal by BC to tie the game and the winner was just walked in almost uncontested.

Pretty quick game. Best I've ever seen Harvard play.

Re: Women's Beanpot 2013 -- The Year's Only Competitive Beanpot

Not a bad game, and the four pep bands jamming together afterwards was pretty cool too.

Desjardins is back from injury and is getting the start for Northeastern

Re: Women's Beanpot 2013 -- The Year's Only Competitive Beanpot

Impressive play by NU dominating most of the first period and being up 2-0. Quick skating team. Goalie looked a bit shaky early.

So nice to watch video of this quality! Can actually see the puck.

Yeah, they have a good crew, and the broadcast is in HD to boot. They have the shots at 11-9 for BU, but most of the Terriers' shots were from the perimeter, while the Huskies' were from prime scoring areas.

I recall your explaining about their video equipment last year.

BU all over NU like a cheap suit after they killed off that 5 on 3 in the later part of the 2nd period. Was sure NU was going to score again but PP wasn't so great that time. Noticed early that NU point men taking forever to tee up and get their shots off and when they did it was often right into an approaching defender only a few feet away...bad decisions...could have easily resulted in breakaways for BU....never mind the wasted shots. And yeah, noticed as well BU's long shots early on.

NU goalie looks slow and awkward to me. If BU can get some passing combinations happening down low they should be able to capitalize...just get her moving to one side...her recovery time is too long.
