Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2024-2025

the Women's World Championship roster has been released for the US. 5 current Badgers (Eden, Simms, Edwards as D, Harvey and McNaughton) and 4 former Badgers on roster (Curl-Salemme, Knight, Compfer, Wilgren).

A little surprised on Wilgren and McNaughton. Also curious why Casey O doesn't seem to get a lot of love from USA Hockey

OB is a beast in the faceoffs and plays a 200' game, she's a must on that team. I'd take her over Eden, Simms, Curl and Compfer. Maybe Team USA is giving her the Watts treatment. Surprised Edwards in playing D. Also surprised Ava made it, she had not seen a lot of love from the U S of A.

Earlier in the week, I saw that the WCHA website said that the Duluth TV channel My9-TV was televising the games this weekend, like they do for some regular season UMD games. And Madison TV picks up those telecasts when Wisconsin plays UMD.

Right now, the schedules for the CW channel in Madison show both of Friday games.

Nothing yet for Saturday; maybe they're waiting to be sure Wisconsin will be playing.

The Madison station said the putrid B1G has imposed a blackout. Presumably it applies to the Duluth station too.
Friday games still showing on the WMTV schedule page as being on their 15.2 alternate channel "CW". That's where one of the two games VS Duluth was show earlier this season (the other was on 15.4 "MeTV").

??

All of WCHA's games (plus Penn State home games) have been on BTN-Plus for three (?) years now.
Yes, and it's awesome. I'd highly recommend it to spend the coin to get it and not sweat out whether it's on cable or antenna tv.

I'm dying to know the story behind McNaughton's injury on the bench. With all that padding how can a goalie get hurt on the bench? A skate cut on the hand or a hand getting smashed by a skate?

From the preview article posted at the UW web site:

"Fans in the Madison area can catch the game on TV on Friday on Madison WMTV 15.2 (CW) and on Saturday on 15.4 (MeTV). The games are also available on television on the My9 Sports, Fox9+, Green Bay WBAY 2.3, Mankato KEYC 7.3, Wausau WSAW 7.2 and CW Columbus channels."

TV for everyone!

How does the B1G impose a blackout on a WCHA game? Simply because Wisconsin is playing even though there is no B1G women's hockey.

Such a niche sport like NCAA Women's Hockey should not have a blackout - Big Ten, WCHA, everybody involved should want as much exposure to this sport as they can muster.

The schedule guide for my Spectrum cable box shows the games on "CW" on Friday, and on "MeTV" on Saturday, just like the article on the UW web site says. As does the schedule on the web site for WMTV channel15.

I don't know where the talk about "blackouts" comes from.

MJ said in his press conference on Tuesday that she practiced on Monday. Whatever happened, it does not sound like a big deal.

Games have never been shown on a Green Bay station.

Agree with Timothy on the B10+. With a quick count, between mens and womens teams, I've watched over 60 games.
