Kotlowski is warming up on the ice
That's a bit scary - I did notice that she wasn't on the bench in the 3rd - hoped it was just to make some more room on the bench. Hope it's minor - and if Johnson was quiping -that's probably the case. Not sure what this quote from Todd's article is all about. Does it imply that McNaughton was banged up?
"McNaughton left the bench during the second period but the circumstances were unclear beyond Johnson saying McNaughton got bumped on the bench.
"Should've kept her in," Johnson quipped."
Badger goalie coach Mark Greenhalgh also does 'color' on the radio broadcasts. Between periods, he goes down to the locker room, and comes back, and often talks about 'what was the message?' to the players, etc.Not sure what this quote from Todd's article is all about. Your ability to find frustration in an 11-0 win is astounding and probably on the DSM-V somewhere.I was kind of frustrated with the amount of shots that Wisconsin gave up but in the post game MJ said that they were trying to be sensitive to not embarrass the other team after the first period. I hope he realizes there are some teams it's okay to embarrass.
A riddle me this questions this am....The bigger question is WWMD?
Not taking into consideration MJ purposefully taking the foot off the gas, if UW allows the worst team in the league to have 29 SOG in game 2 after allowing 12 in game 1 including a shotless period, that is a problem. You don't think the coaches break down the film and have teachable moments for every single player after that win?Your ability to find frustration in an 11-0 win is astounding and probably on the DSM-V somewhere.
No, I don't think allowing 29 shots in a game where we took an 8-0 lead into the first intermission and came out by putting in our backup goaltender because the game had ceased to be anything beyond a forty minutes to allow to expire is a problem. And no, I don't think teachable moments came out of a game that wouldn't have been measurably different had the Beavers physically departed the arena after a single period. Not taking into consideration MJ purposefully taking the foot off the gas, if UW allows the worst team in the league to have 29 SOG in game 2 after allowing 12 in game 1 including a shotless period, that is a problem. I'm sure there will be.Does anyone know if there will be a Madison radio broadcast of Friday's game? I think I recall streaming a broadcast from Duluth that wasn't awful. Does anyone know if they'll be carrying it? My solo boycott of all things B1G continues.
Thanks. I'll try it.I'm sure there will be.
The WCHA web site says that the games will be carried on the same local TV outlet as regular season Duluth games are shown on, My9-TV, and Madison TV has regularly picked those up in the past. So you may have non-BTN TV available to you.
I've never been to a WCHA Final Four (and a friend is driving up this weekend and wants me to go along), but I've been to the NCAA Final Four three times: 2012 in Duluth - lost to Minnesota in the final; 2017 in St Louis - lost to Clarkson in the final; and 2018. My friend was jokingly berating me at the game Saturday for my illogic of not going with him to Duluth (and to Ritter in two weeks,) but I'm staying home. LOLThanks. I'll try it.
At this stage in the season, I can't think of much more depressing than driving to Duluth to watch them lose in the semis. I took the train from New Jersey in 2018 to watch them in the NCAAs at Ridder Arena. That's the year they lost in the semis in 2OT to Colgate. I will never jinx them like that again.
