Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2024-2025

Is that an actual Wisconsin men's player making some NIL money in that Old Home Bank commercial about checking? Number 10.

The university "retired" #10 a couple years ago - Mark Johnson's number - though weirdly that doesn't mean players won't be wearing it at present or in the future. At the time, women's player Delaney Drake had it, and even though she offered to change, MJ told her no. Then it was given to Laila Edwards.

But the roster page shows nobody wearing it for the men, last year or this.

(The ad has been running during Brewer games all year, but I never paid any attention to the jersey number.)

I was able to secure the tickets I wanted, however the $5.00 service fee on every ticket is ridiculous. It would not let you do a mass purchase and have only 1 service fee. You had to order each individually. Watts a crock of sheeeit. $16.00 per ticket is getting to a point where it's not a family friendly event price-wise anymore.

I got 5 tickets for 1 game against Duluth. It had a single order charge of $5.00. 5 x $11 = $55 + $5 for an order total of $60. ( $12 per ticket ) They did get rid of the senior and child pricing which I have used in the past.

What Tim is saying is that there was a $5 service charge per game order; if you had wanted ticket to Bemidji in addition to your Duluth tickets, the web site would have made you finish the Duluth purchase, then start over with your Bemidji order, which would have come with another $5 charge.

Got it. So he only bought 1 ticket for each game that he needed.

Looks like we have a new commit via Instagram....D Emma Cerruti out of SSM. A native of Norwell AM. She a righty, 5-8. Her first year at SSM she was 5g 16a in 61gp, last year 8g 24a in 57gp.

She was on the U18 team that played the three game series against Canada this summer. We also just added F Maddie Kimbrel out of Orono. She's smaller but a friend of mine from up there says she has ridiculous speed.

Ridiculous speed! Awesome. I just saw a highlight of her playing and she muscled her way through Grace Bickett lol. Averaging 45 points over 30 games in high school so far her last two years. Was she possibly playing varsity as an 8th grader?

With Beaudette and Cerruti they have 8 d for 26 27.

Single games tickets went on sale for the 2024 calendar year at 9:00 am today. I was able to secure the tickets I wanted, however the $5.00 service fee on every ticket is ridiculous. The solution to this is to call the ticket office and they will process your order over the phone with just one service charge - I just did it this morning.

I'm glad you cracked the code though the online system should mimic phone system. I got ripped

Wisconsin just got a commitment from forward, Haley Box. She joins F Nela Lopušanov?, F Maddy Kimbrel, D Shayla Beaudette and D Emma Cerruti in the 2026 recruiting class.

I just saw that one and was very excited. Haley was one of the uncommitted '08s that I had my eye on. She's been on Team USA U-18 last year and for the series this year. Very talented player out of Shattuck.

I think I just became a Badger fan, for Women's hockey anyway! Box and Kimbrel will be great players for you and both great kids and leaders, which is just as important. Will be fun watching them continue to develop.

First a comment on this season’s roster.

In her bio, Finley McCarthy lists the “impressionable coaches” as one of her reasons for choosing the Badgers. Hopefully this is a mistyping of what she said. Certainly, she did impress the Badger coaches as well as those of other teams. And I suspect she found the Badger coaches impressive as well. On to my other issue.

According to my numbers for rosters through 27-28, the addition of Haley Box to the 26-27 roster raises the possibility the Badgers’ roster for both the 25-26 and 27-28 season will exceed the NCAA limit of 26 players. The 25-26 situation would be alleviated if the Badgers incur the usual Olympic team “draft”. The 26-27 season could change from redshirts or players exiting for the PWHL draft or the portal. Another answer for my dilemma, my preference, is my numbers are wrong.

Your numbers are way off of mine then. I have 25 for 25-26 (if Eden uses the Covid year), and 24 for 26-27.

I have 24 for 26-26 and 22 for 26-27. How can we be off so far?

Marianne Picard is a redshirt JR this year so she could conceivably return next year.
