Now Saturday MN and Friday OSU are sold out as well.
2 weeks until game 1. No word on the 4th paid coach and no confirmation on the possible injury redshirts.

This was from Nicole Haase during WCHA Media Day: Johnson Re: 3rd paid assistant position "We hired an Assistant Director of Ops/Video person to fill that role."
I wouldn't expect any early confirmation of injury redshirts since if it's borderline you don't have to decide on a redshirt until they haven't played. Unless it was obvious that someone would be gone for the season (which would stand out if they were not practicing at all) it'd be dumb not to keep options open.

The team still has Mark Greenhalgh listed as a volunteer coach on their roster page. I do not know how everything works behind the scenes, but I'm going to trust the winning coach in Division 1 women's hockey history has it figured out.

It looked like Claire Enright was on crutches with her leg in a thing at the football game today.

Well that sucks but a chance for other talent to shine.
There was another player that had a slight but noticeable limp, but no crutches or brace. We were sitting up high a few sections over so I couldn't tell who it was.

There's a photo up on the team twitter page, and not only is she on crutches and in a leg brace, but you can see two band-aids, one each side of the patella or maybe the lower patellar tendon. And maybe some swelling still there. So surgery is pretty recent? Somebody who knows could probably even venture a guess as to the surgery/injury from the locations.
(And maybe a bruise on Laney Potter's (?) knee? Far left of the photo.)

You all are amazing that you can link names with faces. I know all the names, all the numbers, even the home towns. But I have a very hard time matching faces to that information. I am impressed that you can pick specific players out from a group photo. I can't name them even when I have the foster photos next to the photo! I would love it if someone could list the players by rows, left to right, in the Camp Randall photo. There may be hope for me yet.

Hmmm.... do laundry and dishes? or waste time matching names and faces?
Haphazardly naming the ones I'm pretty sure of; mistakes certainly possible:
Kneeling is Curl. Above Curl is Harvey. Far right as we look is Wozniewicz. Next to Woz is (I think) Kotlowski. Behind Kotlowski is Gervais. Between Kotlowski and Harvey is (I think) Simms.
On crutches is Enright. to Enright's right is Eden. Behind Eden is Laila Edwards, behind Enright is Chayla. On Enright's left is Jungels. To Eden's right is Helgeson
Two over to Laila's right is Ava Murphy. Next to Murphy is Bella Vasseur. Below Murphy and Vasseur is Maddi Wheeler (I think).
Far left of the photo, as I said, is I think Laney Potter. Next to her and below is Cassie Hall? (Noting those with no rings vs one ring vs two rings.)
After that, too many blonde girls in sunglasses.

Yep, less than 1 week to the first game, still no official info on the medical issues or Greenie's fate. The roster has been updated online with pics so you can familiarize yourselves with the young ladies.

Hey we got a primer article on Madison.com almost a full week ahead of the first game! Nothing terribly noteworthy other than WI is returning 73% of their goals from last season, like 9% more than the next best team in the wcha. I don't know if he's taking transfer scoring into account on this. The other interesting thing is it appears McNaughton get a chance to play against some cupcakes, as one would hope. Gervais' numbers are really really good 1.54 / .926 and she played very well except for that poop the bed play against St. Cloud, a harmless learning experience that kinda still bothers me.
