You guys can beat Michigan in shootouts both games next weekend if you want.

No shootouts. Not due to yet another tie and none as in 8-7 games. I want to see some respectable D played in the D zone by UW and I want to see UW take advantage of their shakey D. I've love to see some 5-2 games with UW on the winning side.

Well since I have not seen one yet....I thought I would start the countdown clock on Mike Eaves.

37 Days until the last projected game on Thursday March 17th, which is the quarter finals game of the Weak 6 league tournament.

Hopefully at 8:00AM on March 18th the search for a new head coach begins!!

No no no......it won't happen like that. First JK will spend a few months analyzing what happened, then he will recommend MM is not extended, but that he will be retained. BA will concur.

Think of this, is somehow UW wins 3 games in 3 days in the B6 tourney, the plan is doomed.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXXVI: Stop looking for the silver lining and ignoring the probl

It's an awful thing to say, but if I were a Badger fan (and I am, kind of), I would NOT want to see a win this weekend. Not despite the fact that it's a big rival who is playing well but because of it.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXXVI: Stop looking for the silver lining and ignoring the probl

I swear that any injury that happens to a UW football or basketball player gets out to the public pretty quickly. Hockey (both men's and women's) keeps the injuries much closer to the vest.

Sorry to go back a few days, but I was just catching up on the thread. If a player gives his consent, then the university can say what the injury is. Some players from other sports might not care, but hockey players don't seem to want to volunteer injuries.

Anyone going to the games this weekend?

Anyone going to the games this weekend?

I am going Saturday and my expectations are extremely low. So glad I gave up Friday this year, and still debating saturday for next year which will heavily depend on if MM is back.

Bought the Saturday night games for Minnesota and Michigan during their "Black Friday" sale. Thought the season would be going a little bit better to say the least. After the rout against the Gophers, I just want to see a competitive game. I just can't eat tickets that are bought and paid for.

Have tix for the women's series and looking forward to those games more, to be honest. They have a chance to wrap up the WCHA with a sweep.

I am making my one yearly trip to the KC Friday. Looking forward to it. When you only go once a year you still get that "WOW" factor of the facility and the show. Hopefully the hockey will be enjoyable, last year it was not, they got killed by the wusserines.

I have this mixed feeling every game they play. Can't root for them to lose but wins might mean MM is back next year.

Wow factor of all the empty seats. I still get that every game.

you will like all the TV's in the corridors, so you can see the game as you endlessly search for a concession stand that is open (in the upper concourse level for sure)
