Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XX - Growth Through Experience

- did you miss my post about the victory?

-Jdubbs can post where he wants just like you, unlike you however he's not thin-skinned

- I have season tickets and my family has had season tickets since 1984 (yes, I remember watching Mike Richter, CUJO, Scott Mellanby, Tony Granato et al, that sort of set that bar of expectations) so don't try the 1upsmanship bull**** w/me; our family also contributes heavily to the badger fund, if that floats your boat. so how do YOU contribute? actually I don't care. don't answer that.

- if you measure fandom by whether you choose not to criticize a team when they're awful then you should maybe not lurk on message boards (did you similarly get bent out of shape with criticism of Jeff Sauer?).

- this is Division #1 big-time hockey, and with large budgets and a 6 ncaa champ history expectations are set and set high.

if you don't like opposing opinions then make an argument and try to persuade, it sure beats saying "I don't like your opinion why don't you just leave" and "I'm a bigger fan than you" ... I mean how old are you?

Solo. Lets assume since you have been there forever that your whining and fussing about the program has been earned.

I bow to you...

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XX - Growth Through Experience

Other than the part about Alvarez thanking former players and other contributors for making the donations that made this possible... Really?!? Barry needed someone to pay to have a Badger Bob honorarium named?? He couldn't come up with the $15 of paint himself? If some corporate sponsor wanted their name on the ice - then yes, pony up the Benjamins. But to honor the legacy that is Badger Bob... I guess the more things change, the more they stay the same...

I was confused with that as well, but I assumed that was in reference to 22 former players donating to the total project (LaBahn Arena). Maybe I'm wrong.

I had interpreted it almost the same way- La Bahn donors wanting to make sure that Badger's name was still attached to something.

Not that the Barry-made-people-pay-for-it theory would be that much of a surprise to me.

I have to believe that somewhere in Barry's office is a spreadsheet that list the required donation to procure the naming rights to every part of both Camp Randall and the Kohl Center. I wonder how much it would cost me for the privilege of naming all the bathrooms after Alvarez, because that would be money well spend?

I'm currently working on a proposal to do that at the Mooch, including pictures of his face on all urinal patties ;)

Any word on Rumpel's status for this weekend? How serious was the cut?

Eaves said he was going to skate Monday with no equipment and they would see how it was feeling, his flexibility, etc. Looks like they are taking it day by day. We'll probably have to wait for an update later in the week from Baggot for final word.

Here is a picture his sister tweeted out last night.

Warning: Gross----LINK

Ouch! Well, it does look bad, but it doesn't look like any muscle was cut, which was my big worry.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XX - Growth Through Experience

Friday's lines...

Mersch 1st Star Pappe
Labate Meuer S Little
Barnes Woods R Little
Clark Dahl Navin

I'm a little surprised the Little/Little line was broken up, they did a lot of good things last week. I do like the fact the scoring ability gets down through the 3rd line, and sprinkling Littles into 2 lines way be what the Dr. ordered.

Baggott's article about Meuer pointed out Meuer seems to have a lot of Burish in him.

Petersen in goal tonight, Rumpel is on the trip.

Don't forget the Gals are playing at the Nest this weekend.

Let's Go RED!

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Vol. XX - Growth Through Experience

Havn't been on the forum in awhile and if I have I havn't seen anything, but what nonconference games are there going to be next year. I know we have series up in Green Bay with NMU and home vs. Penn State. What other team might we play.

Also my weekends predictions:
Friday: UW 2 BSU 4
Saturday: UW 3 BSU 2

Hoping for something.
