You should bring up these excellent points in their season thread. Also - tell them how much better the Packers have been historically than the Vikings.

You gotta take the fight to their home turf. Go to their thread now and stay there all week. Do it for Bucky!

Tom Gilbert traded to the Wild for Nick Schultz today. Schultz was an important part of that locker room, and the Wild's GM didn't even let him know in time (he found out via the Oiliers' twitter feed). He might be walking into a ticked off locker room, through no fault of his own.

TSN corrected the report, the Wild told him as he was coming off the ice. Oilers had tweeted it before he knew but he didn't have his phone on the ice lol. :D

By the way with Commodore being traded from Detroit to Tampa, Brendan Smith has been recalled and will reportedly be in the lineup tomorrow vs Columbus.

Well that's good.

I could imagine the Wild players still not liking it, though. As professional as these guys have to be about their teammates getting traded, Schultz was a big part of that locker room.

Good for Tom as he was criticized a lot over his time in Edmonton. Now he'll get to play for his home-state team. I bet he's excited.

Wow. That seems to be hoping for a lot. Even as a "wouldn't it be great?"

I think Bucky could well take a game if they come out playing to their potential and get under MN's skin. But a sweep? :confused:

I think you're taking a message board post a little too serious. Saying something would be awesome if it happens means just that. Doesn't mean he expects it.

This would be an awesome year for me to start dating Kate Upton.

I was speaking to a hope, not an expectation. ;)

I usually try to refrain from posting in threads that don't somehow involve the team of my rooting interests, unless it is a post of praise, and I should have remembered that.

I'm feeling pretty optimistic these days, the thought occured to me UW is only 5 wins away from the NCAA tourney, starting next Monday. With 2 goalies you can count on, it's not such an insane thought as it may seem. UW should consider resting Schultz and Zengerlee Saturday night, seeing as they could end up playing 6 games in 9 days, with the key being 3 games in 3 days at the Final 5.

Lets Go DU is reporting that DU is in talks w/ UW to continue the rivalry after they both leave the WCHA next season. Most of the story is about DU btw. Not sure how much truth there is to this, but I would be excited for the continuation fo this rivalry. If UW playd DU and North Dakota regularly in non-conference that would be a very strong schedule and the two teams I would like to see every other year at the Kohl Center from the existing WCHA. Play Duluth and St Cloud or CC on occasion, who I like to see, and I would be a little happier about the BTHC.

It would be good to play UND, DU, CC, MT and UMD (the old school WCHA teams) on a semi regular basis. I would not lose sleep if UW never played UNO, Kato, Bemiji or St. Cloud ever again.
