Good 3-2 win tonight. Always love beating the rodents. I seriously hate that M-I-N-N-E-S-O-T-A chant so much, be a little creative.

Hope they can sweep on Sunday.

Earth to UW BadgerHockey. Where are you? Do you know the school who started cheerleading?

That is right the University of Minnesota started organized cheering. Back in 1898 Thomas Peebles and his croonies started all the cheers you all hate. How can that be less creative? They were the FIRST school to do it. Every other school in the nation copied the University of Minnesota organized cheering.

We've been there so we know how if feels (see J. Sauer teams circa 1995 through the end pretty much....though not exclusive)

Sure there is. It's above the red panels at the end. It's turned off as they don't keep score at a horse show.

Didn't see the game tonight because we have a NHL team called the Wild playing in Edmonton on FSN. Obviously you will never be able to watch a local NHL team in Wisconsin but that is okay you have the BADgers instead.

Maybe a tougher game than some expected but I don't think it was realistic to expect us to walk all over them. They have been playing better of late and it's a rivalry game.

I'm happy to get the win and wrap up second place and with St. Cloud losing, maybe we can get that St. Paul Regional if we win a few more games.

My only concerns are the give-aways at the point, but this is hardly a new concern with this team.

Despite his flip into the Gopher bench, which was hilarious, I thought Grotting had a great game. He seemed to be near the puck a lot.

My bad I didn't even think about the Final Five. It will come down to DU and the BADgers in the final and DU escapes with the trophy. After that the BADgers will not be in St.Paul until next Final Five.

Grew up with season tix to the Hawks at the old stadium. Choose to live in Wisco since 89. Go to a few games down there a year. Couldn't care less if Wisconsin had an NHL team or not as I'm a Hawks fan and like no other teams.

Really? This is your reasoning? Maybe you should pay attention to the selection process. Then you might understand the cause for Wisconsin not to be in the West Regional. (I'll give you a hint: no one school is responsible, and UMD is almost a non-player in the issue.)

I would be stunned if the BADgers played another game in St. Paul after Sundays game.

A. Sunday's game isn't in St. Paul.
B. Pretty sure they'll be playing in St. Paul next weekend.

Unlike Wisconsin and your home state we play the game of ice hockey as it is known in that part of the country. The State of Hockey supports more programs than any where else in the country. We support every level from the grassroots all the way up to the NHL. Sure, the North Stars left but Minnesotans got fed up with supporting a losing franchise with only 4 winning seasons in 23 years. Besides plenty of losing there were other reasons why the club left. The sex scandal had something to do with it and Wolves not wanting to share their arena.
