I thought the same but on the second look they gave it seemed at time of contact skates were still on the ice.
.
Their D zone exits have not been good lately. A ton of dump and chase as well, which is a dorect result of bad zone exits. Passing is not crisp and they just look terribly uncoordinated. Hell a 18mo old that just learned to walk is more coordinated than the last few weeks.
I know Hastings has said that he has had to lay off the intensity with the "modern" player but these guys need a verbal come uppance.
Also, def should have been a 5min major. I know there is playing smart and in control but bBrickey shpuld have had 7 guys give a run on him after that hit.
Lets also talk about the 1st G WI got taken off the board....hkw do you NOT stay on sides?! Another bonehead play that completely changed the game.
Don’t worry though, if it was Wisconsin that’s an easy 5 and we get that dip**** gopher puke telling us how that’s definitely a 5.
He took a run at him and that's not the point of checking and is what they are supposedly trying to get out of the game.
While I agree it has been a little disappointing lately, I also remember a year (2005-2006) where Wisconsin was 18-2-2 in January after starting 1-1-1 (that 17-1-1 stretch was a fun time), only to go on a 3-5 stretch with Shane Connelly in net and then 0-2-1 after Elliott came back, putting the Badgers at 21-9-3 on February 25th (on 2/20/2024 WI is 22-8-2). Certainly Elliott was a better goalie than Connelly, and there isn't a significant injury to a star player providing a simple reason for the recession in results for the current team, but I have no reason to believe this team won't get their heads straight and get back to elite hockey and results.
It seems often that championship teams have a stretch where the focus wanes and they have a dip before they get it together. Nobody knows if that will happen this year but I believe a few losses and people doubting them has the potential to light a fire. If not, so be it, but I'm not too worried yet. If you have told me at the beginning of the year we would be #6 in the PW and 22-8-2 there is no way I would have believed it. STAY POSITIVE!!!!

wait…I mean let’s get to 8 nattys this season because Wisconsin trounced LSSU in 92 sans the 4 or 5 5x3 penalties the LSSU assistant coaches on the ice called on Wisconsin.
Thanks for reminding me of that game. What a travesty. But, at least I got to see Wisconsin play in my neck of the woods.
