That ref is horrible. Same ref as the Lindenwood game. Last night they keep the whistles in their pockets and tonight they call stupid crap.
 
Through 4 games Michigan is clearly a better team than Wisconsin this year. Dominating in the offensive zone and constant men alone in front unguarded is inexcusable. But still, at times this looks like Morrison, Boterill et al circa 96. Just dominating on offense.
 
Who boy...that was an adventure indeed. Yost ice is absolitely awful. Super soft and guys were literally taking chunks out when stopping. The refs were about as bad as Ive seen. Last 5mins MI clearly tripped a Badger behind the net and if not for McClellan being ready for the pass to the low slot, MI would have had the lead. Hastings was about as hot and yelling at the ref as Ive seen.

We weathered the storm and beat MI on the road. Were extremely close to beating them in Reg the last min. Like 3 great shots.

MI is uber talented on Offense but their weakness is their D. WI exposed that in two of 4 games, played great D in another, and had one loss. Id say thats a pretty successful campaign against MI. I dont wanna play them again. Big10 is no joke.
 
And to be straight up, yes, maybe MI does have mlre talent up and down the roster....but WI clearly has the no quit team approach...and I like that a lot!

The abject dejection on MI players was evident after the game. Schadenfreud!!!
 
Just watched the highlights. So, why were Michigan players skating right towards the badgers goal celebrations on Wisconsin’s first 2 goals? Seems provocative or at least stupid. What did they think would happen? The penalty on Bantle was as much a joke as the penalty on Doug McDonald in the NCAA title game in 92.

and if the refs though Bantle committed a penalty there I saw Michigan dump a Wisconsin player after the whistle behind the goal and 0 call. The refs were terrible and should NOT ref another b10 game ever.

Michigan’s power play and top line are the best in the country. Absolutely dominating. I don’t want to see them in the playoffs.

Wisconsin, while not as sharp as in the first 2 months just has a resilience that I haven’t seen in years. They don’t seem to be phased at all when the other team scores. That’s got to be frustrating and deflating really for opposing teams to witness.

The rodents this week followed by MSU will be incredible games. I can’t wait!

wins for Mike Hastings. EVERY single season as a college coach he’s gotten at least 20 wins. Incredible.

The new rink dimensions were discussed in the past, but the last I heard they would do it this summer or next summer, and I may have missed it here.

A few days ago the Madison Metro School District announced that high school graduation ceremonies have been moved to the Coliseum in June because of ice renovations! NHL dimensions start in 2024 - 2025!

Per the paper, and Todd M, it is still to be determined if this summer or next. Moving to 85 wide should improve third level sight lines, provided they don't go lower like Minnesota did.
 
Pretty quiet on here for a Gopher hockey week… I’m really struggling to figure out a way to procrastinate at work when there is no chatter or trash talking for me to read. Please help. I know there are still lingering gopher fans on this forum that some of you witty ones can provoke. Let’s go!

It's pretty insane how they left this place in droves. Kinda sad, but they they are still reconciling the Holy Cross game. Probably the biggest upset of all time in college hockey.
 
I'm not one for ruffling feathers and throwing barbs before a huge series...try to stay away from that. But this weekend is HUGE. Points and Pairwise. I look for the Badgers to have an aggressive forecheck, eliminaye time and space to MN on the perimeter and also prevent traffic in the slot. Driving hard on loose pucks also huge.

6 left at Kohl. I want 6-0. I also think if they play their game, take 3 of 4 at OSU ans PSU.

Helped when Northeastern beat BU on Tues. Need Tech to string some Ws together too
