Gotta agree with ARM on this one Schmoe. Even w/o the promotion, tickets to UW Badger Women game are something like $5 Adults/ $2 kids... if I'm not mistaken. Wisconsin, along with other programs, do an incredible amount to promote the game for their teams and get butts in the seats. The UMD AD could learn something, but god forbid the program become more popular than him.
Kudos to Wisconsin. I hope that even 1% of those that were first time attendees decide to come back on a regular basis!!
I don't think that's the biggest factor. Minnesota has had a lot of games where people could get in for not much money that haven't drastically increased attendance. Promotion is huge. You have to make the fans who are willing to attend aware that the event is being held.
